Life, BEING and the Sea

within a sea of emotions cresting real
waves of pain, of joy beyond conceal
this day marked with tides gone by
a pause, a reflection, a deep deep sigh
confusion and dismay
be news brought our way
passions and longings to assail
a vision of resolve, and change we to hail
beyond the shadows cast our light be known
by the love and mercy our hearts have shown
there is a rhythm within Earth divine
and so too, of BEING, yours and mine
this ebb and flow, the constant there be
this of Life, BEING and the Sea
we hold to the call, the sea cresting within
and hushed be the discordant, this raucous din.

Petals...

petals, embers of the rose
cast they be upon waters of the sea
their alluring fragrance flowing sweet

be they the nectar of the soulful heart
from which memory shall not depart

each yet holds to blush and bloom
each from a vine of timeless creation
thorns tempered piercing no more

petals of what was and shall ever be
carried by the waters, the waters of the sea.

In Reflection... what be this poet's plea...

To send light into the darkness of men's hearts - such is the duty of the artist.
Robert Schumann
Composer
1810 - 1856

And what be this poet's plea
But to honor God's gifts
Be they of land, sky, ocean or sea
To know that All and One are given in grace
And in gratitude be our care, our loving embrace
Stars and galaxies, vistas of splendor and glory
Within the secrets, the miracles of Creation's story
Stardust in waves of time and space
From which our spirit we to trace
Light beholden within our heart
From where love has its primal start
Known be the fire of the Creator's flame
And we the Presence of All so named
Words to hold to the knowing of heart and soul
Reverent be our gratitude, our calling toll
And what be this poet's plea
But to honor God's gifts
Be they of land, sky, ocean or sea.

Haiku in Triune - The Sea

the sea lies within
currents of change to prevail
breath, the ebb, the flow

thoughts in cresting play
cascade of mindful intent
breath, the ebb, the flow

waters of spirit
to quench the thirst of longing
breath, the ebb, the flow.

Alchemic Flow

flow...
watercolor
and the rivers of right intention
the oceans of opportunity
the streams of spirit
the seas of soul

flow...
the freedom
the love
the Omnipresence
the wondrous.

This Cresting

Waters of the ocean, the sea
Know this cresting that be
Turbulent waves in thunderous cry
For all the loss, the tears gone by
Your changing tides high and low
To the moon beholden your ebb and flow.

One and Alone

On this Valentine's Day Eve...

One and Alone

My love in the heavens be
'Tis the moon's light upon the sea
Cresting waves of waters high
Hold the tears of loss gone by
The dawn to awaken ever new
And there in light I with you
One and alone yet not barren of embrace
For in my heart holds our loving grace.

Beauty Be

Heed well the ocean's sounding call
Its splendor we shall not befall
Pulsing waves of sky
Pulsing waves of sea
Upon the sands
The embrace of beauty be.

The Present All

Thoughts within the mind to trace

Within this heart a questing place
A knowing and a longing wise
Your spirit in grace to ever rise
For love and faith bequeath your soul
In peace, flight, fury, a noble goal
Rising sun of morn, waxing moon of night
Splendor of The Way, dark beget light
Thunderous waves, waters call
Majestic so be the present All
Life in gratitude and loving praise
Now be known this gift of days
Within each moment, each hour, all time
The glory of God's gifts eternal sublime.

By the Sea

The blush of the day
Sets its golden light
Passion in crimson strokes
Across the sky in flight

Quiet the moment
Yet ablaze in beauty be
I in sail's repose
Touched by the sea.

Hallowed Sea

Hallowed sea of creation, blessings divine
The ebb and flow of waters and time
Sacred womb within water's enfold
Emergent be life, story be told.

Implacable Sea

To yonder distant shores
I set to sail
Cresting waves and winds
I to hail
Constant is
The beckoning plea
The lure, the call
Of the implacable sea.

Rose Marie Raccioppi

If humankind were to listen deeply to the sea,
to the call of dolphins and whales,
to the ever present wave song
between the moon and the sea,
spirit would prevail
and hearts would join
in peace and understanding.

Mother Earth's pulsing passion

Rhythmic
Red depths of the seas
Throbbing waves
Cresting cry
Resounding
Heed well her plea
Heed well her plea.

Past and Present Tides

Moving water, this mighty flow
Billowing sea of celestial light
Many a story be here heard
Echoing from its dark depths
The call of past and present tides
Moving water, this mighty flow.

Pebbles by the Sea

Shapes of pebbles so random be
Of earth, brook, lake, river and sea
Seen and felt with hand and heart
Query posed from where you did start
Was it a mountain high and vast
From which you were newly cast
Pebbles now I to hold
And held are stories yet to be told.
