Blessed Alchemy

trees in revelation of secrets of time
joy in emergent colors devine
in my garden there now be
golden leaves of blessed alchemy
wondrous be these expressions of Fall
from trees mighty and proudly tall
behold I the splendor of a resounding grace
their secret of joy within soul I place.

A TASK

What moves me to put aside a task
A question onto SELF I ask
Why do I feel compelled to share
What in heart is love and care
Is it the calling echo of time
That beckons these expressions mine
What brings a poet to heed the WORD
If not the beauty of breath and being heard
Headlines, NEWS, bear they their claim
And I pray our salvation in God’s name
Nature endures amidst destruction and dismay
And saved is the ultimate TRUTH of the WAY
A resolve pulses within heart
And now the task, I to start
Be it to, "chop wood, carry water," task at hand
Known be the joy of grace in command.

The heavens, the earth in libation meet

such be this day of rain
hear I its sounding refrain
upon rooftops and gardens melody sweet
the heavens, the earth in libation meet
the grass yet held green
leaves of bright color upon trees seen
and some a carpet upon the ground
touched by libation's blessed sound.

A Fallen Leaf

Collect a fallen leaf on this October day
Know the blessings it holds in its magical way

Press between folds of paper, a treasure to be

The strength, the grace, of a towering tree

Time does pass and held within a memory true

A leaf, a moment, all in celebration of you

It may call to be on view and framed

Simply a JOY ~ a moment of time so claimed.

Blessings be known,

Abiding Days

rising from clouds that dark be
light blessed onto thee
the changing mood of the firmament's grace
light that calls to heart's place
the lambent blue ordained by emergent rays
the ever present quest of our abiding days.

Aristotle's Word...

Aristotle's Word…

"In all things of nature,
there is something of the marvelous."

upon a weathered table
'tis the tree that once was
a leaf upon it rests
herald be the golden alchemy of Fall
in answer to the season's vow and call
and I with tea and Aristotle's word
the stillness of all lovingly heard.

A Secret Held...

It has been said:
"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."
~ Albert Camus

As I look to the jeweled tone colors of leaves ...

Each color, a secret held, until the season renewed its vow
For the splendor of color to soar free from branch and bough
In the embrace of the lambent sky and sun so very bright
Leaves of radiant color swept by autumn winds in wistful flight
Brilliant hues of orange, crimson, red, burgundy, and gold
A blanket of leaves upon the ground, the tale of Fall be told.
