MEMORIAL DAY ~ 2021

And they who for country and freedom in battle perish

We to weep and in loving memory with gratitude cherish

For each life that was, lives in God's embrace sublime

Ever blessed be their souls in soaring grace divine

The pulsing, sounding, recording within our heart

From which memory and sentiment have their start

Of dearly loved ones who once filled our day

Their souls taken to another path, to the eternal way

All in reflection of sacrifice and noble deed

The cry of Freedom, ever our living creed

The gifts of LIFE with vision blessed and bold

This the giving within each Veteran's story told

Courage to hold to freedom's call and light

In perseverance the challenge be it day or night

To hold resolve and endure all claim

To fire the passion beyond the pain

For those given to liberation and freedom's call

Blessed BE they who have given their All

This day, the NOW of yesterday we devotedly share

For timeless be each heart's deeply felt care

Life with God's blessings shall ever prevail

'Tis the vision of freedom and valor within souls we hail

This gift of knowing to mark the rising way

And we in tribute give honor this Memorial Day.

KNOW I...

 KNOW I...

"Everyone should consider his body as a priceless gift from one whom he loves above all, a marvelous work of art, of indescribable beauty, and mystery beyond human conception, and so delicate that a word, a breath, a look, nay, a thought may injure it.”
~Nikola Tesla

Know I, beyond Fear there is FAITH, beyond Doubt there is DELIVERANCE, beyond Trepidation there is TRUST, beyond Dismay there is DIVINITY…

Man in freedom so born is he
Yet shackled he sets himself to be
Oppression dark upon heart yet be lain
The echoes of emotion still held profane
The mind to silence daunting echoes of time past
And free the self from binding chains cast
Memory called to free mind, heart and soul
Alchemy to ring its welcomed toll.

2CELLOS - Demons [OFFICIAL VIDEO] ~ Grant not power to these demons of dark...

Grant not power to these demons of dark
Hush hush their haunts erase their mark
Be free of judgments and reprisals cruel
Truth and Spirit of Self in light anew to rule
Addict me not to a false quieting of the pain I feel
Make the liberation from a shadowed self a beauty real
Mask not these agonies of the abiding soul
No longer allow deception to demand a toll
Pay not the price of life relegated to sorrow
Live the promise held within each tomorrow
Depression be not a donned cloak of despair
Hold the Faith yet borne of God's loving care
The gift of life and power of will in your story be told
Hail each breath, the cleansing, 'tis the alchemist's gold.

And if I

And if I a Bee this an oasis
And If I a Butterfly a universe sweet
And if I the Flower joy in the flutter of wings to greet
Beauty and Being in folds of petals divine
Be this the majesty, the bequeath of springtime
The sun, the root, the savor in its beckoning call
The rapturous nectar of anthers to beget all.

In Response to HONOR ~ In Poet's Hand

In response to HONOR
A Proclamation bestowed upon
Rose Marie Raccioppi
Poet Laureate, Orangetown, New York.

... and so...

In Poet's Hand

and here this pen in poet's hand
with word and faith in command
a smile, a gesture, the warming sun
a creed, a mission, a task now done
'tis not what I alone to answer nor unfold
the pleas of need be too, your story told
all awakens for the vision yet held
purpose and right intention in glory meld
a thought, a quest, with yearning real
passion and desire beyond conceal
the touch of grace, ever spirit's claim
within heart, the calling of GOD's name
and here this pen in poet's hand
with word and faith in command.

It has been said...

"Throughout the ages, the language of poetry has held a special power to lend us courage, to give us the vision of those who endured and to hazard ourselves boldly in the world we inhabit. The insights and imagery of poetry can take us beyond any small perimeter we have made for ourselves. Once we establish ourselves at this conversational frontier, we find ourselves living amidst revelation, the recipients of visible and invisible help we could not previously recognize."

Blooms In My Garden

Blooms In My Garden

Such be the beauty of bloom to behold
Petals that grace creations story told
Roots feeding branches in an expressive grace
Splendor of green and magenta within hearts place
Chambers of heart in pulsing passion they be
The quiver, the majesty of bloom blessed from THEE
Emergent glory of Suns prevailing light divine
Savor as does the Bee, the elixirs, the rhapsodies of time.

U N B R I D L E D

He spoke... I listened ... and in turn a word...
a calling to the Self... UNBRIDLED...
be his artistry, his vision, his quest, his passion, his truth...

Unbridled be your genius in its expression divine
The knowing, the visioned, the calling of heart and time
The grace of Spirit to hush the discordant claim
Binding shackles be they no more in HIS name
Blessed by the giving, the receiving, heart and hand
Beauty and Truth in Life's command
Unbridled be your genius in its expression divine
The knowing, the visioned, the calling of heart and time.

Outside My Window

a canvas to behold
nature in artistry divine
the white of the sky
illumed by the brilliance
of the sun's light
this so magically cast
upon the white blossoms
of the dogwood tree
as the glistening leaves
of the lithe bamboo
hold to tones of green
in reflective splendor
this outside my window
a gallery of glory.

the window open
hear I the serenade
songbirds near and far
feel I the warming sun
my words, echoes
of a heart touched
by nature's canvas
alchemic strokes of light
this hour beheld.
