And if I

And if I a Bee this an oasis
And If I a Butterfly a universe sweet
And if I the Flower joy in the flutter of wings to greet
Beauty and Being in folds of petals divine
Be this the majesty, the bequeath of springtime
The sun, the root, the savor in its beckoning call
The rapturous nectar of anthers to beget all.

A Bloom There Be

from branch and bough a bloom there be

beauty to behold from the grace of THEE

petals of pink bear the presence of light

felt is the welcoming warmth of a sun majestically bright

a pause and known be breath divine

the spoils of SPRING, the grace of time

in this moment all becomes known

creation in beauty of bloom to our hearts shown.

Dogwood Bloom

Sweet be the libation of Spring
Dogwood in its splendor of bloom
Newly touched be this heart, this soul
A deep sigh
Branches and blooms beholden to the warming sun
Petals of sacred grace
Colors of Creation’s palette
Root, branch, bough, leaf and bloom
The pulsing, the pulsing, the pulsing.

Petals...

petals, embers of the rose
cast they be upon waters of the sea
their alluring fragrance flowing sweet

be they the nectar of the soulful heart
from which memory shall not depart

each yet holds to blush and bloom
each from a vine of timeless creation
thorns tempered piercing no more

petals of what was and shall ever be
carried by the waters, the waters of the sea.

The Fire The Rose

 The Fire The Rose

The fire of passion, bud, bloom and thorn they be
So too, the cresting ecstasy of ocean and sea
A rapture of being and enchantment divine
Upon this soul, ever yours, ever mine
What longing lore of love do your petals enfold
Your sweet seductive fragrance I to behold
Bloom in rapture and radiant red array
The kiss of waters upon your petals lay.

In Accord... TOTEMS of SELF... Consciousness and BEING...

to·tem/ˈtōdəm/
noun
a natural object or animal believed to have spiritual significance and adopted as an emblem.

TOTEMS...

If indeed I am the RAM, opposition holds no fear
If a FROG, I am confident in my transformation
If a DOVE, I know the power of peace
If a ROBIN. I am itself splendor
If a TIGER, I am protection
If a HAWK, I am the soaring flight
If an EAGLE, I live freedom's quest
And as ROSE MARIE, I am passion's flower of the sea...

TOTEMS... TOTEMS...ONE and All I BE...

The ROSE

What longing lore of love do your petals enfold
Your sweet seductive fragrance I to behold
Bloom in rapture and radiant red array
The kiss of waters upon your petals lay.

Petals

be ourselves known
petals of the same bloom
tossed out to the winds
to touch the awaiting spirit within.

Special Roses ~ by Grace

At my front door there does grow
Two beautiful rose bushes in a row

Sweet candy is their special smell
Beauty is the story they tell

Thorny may their branches be
Careful, they do not hurt me

When the wind blows a rose in bloom
Petals upon the ground come real soon

I gather the petals and off they fly
Spreading their joy up to the sky

Upon the ground they do rest
Yes, the Rose, a flower I love the best.

Grace

Today, inspired by the rose bushes in bloom in her front yard, Grace, a six year old student, shared the delight of her pink roses with me, providing all that is presented here of her playful encounters with her special roses, and together the poem, "Special Roses" was created. Indeed a delight!

Folds of Grace

Petals of providence in folds of grace
Such glory of creation do I see
Hallowed be thy wondrous splendor

Majestic Array

Radiant be its majestic array
The light to touch its petals this day
Emergent splendor within this budding divine
Its color, its form, opulence sublime
The reaching grace of each petal I to perceive
And known be the Great Mind in which I believe.

Of a Summer Day

A thousand moons I do see
A thousand suns in light before me
A thousand wonders petals enfold
A thousand days of a story told
Such bloom and majesty in grand array
The resplendent perfection of a summer day.
