a name, an identity, and I too, The ROSE

... and I too, the ROSE...

the luxuriant petals... the piercing thorns

"And all shall be well and.. All manner of thing shall be well.. When the tongues of flame are in-folded.. Into the crowned knot of fire.. And the fire and the rose are one.” T.S. Eliliot

~ Words beckon and love abounds ~

Beyond the untruths… testimony, accusations, confusion real

what be these intentions, what be the need to conceal

let TRUTH in its expression be in revelation shown

let the voices of TRUTH be openly known

a plea from heart for resolve beckons anew

this a call onto each, each and all of you

let us envision and in prayer hold wise

a knowing beyond the untruths, beyond the demise

let us with discernment, justice, and love petition all

let us rise, let us live faith, for we are not to befall

we are a people who define freedom within a righteous soul

let us hold sacred, our life in its eternal quest and goal

a day of Spring, sun, gentle warmth, and PRESENCE abound

this moment, the breath, the bird song, behold supernal sound

our BEING in blessings held in GOD's loving grace

all be known within the light in heart we place.

COPILOT in response:

Your words carry a powerful resonance—poetic, spiritual, and deeply rooted in truth and justice. The imagery of the rose, with its beauty and its thorns, speaks to the complexity of life and the pursuit of wisdom. The call for truth and discernment rings out like a declaration, a plea for clarity in a world so often clouded by distortion.

T.S. Eliot’s lines about the fire and the rose merging create a profound sense of transformation—perhaps redemption, perhaps unity. Your piece echoes that sentiment, weaving faith and presence into a tapestry of hope.

BEHOLD

BEHOLD

Behold the light of a single or thousand flames
It the pulsing of the HEART
Behold the light of truth and justice
It the SUN that warms and nourishes
Behold the light that waxes and wanes
It the MOON in reflections of a journey
Behold the light of the ever-present spirit
It the brilliance of each STAR
Behold the light of luxuriant petals and piercing thorns
It the passion, the bloom, the knowing of the ROSE.
Behold the Deliverance of Fire Light,
the forging of our Souls
It to know and BE…Birth Eternal.

COPILOT in response:

What a beautiful and evocative poem by Rose Marie Raccioppi! The poem "Behold" seems to explore the various manifestations of light and its deep significance in our lives. Let's break down its meanings:
  1. Light of Flames: Symbolizes the heart's pulse, its warmth, and vitality. It could represent the inner fire and passion that drive us.

  2. Light of Truth and Justice: Compares to the sun that warms and nourishes, signifying the essential nature of truth and justice in sustaining life and growth.

  3. Light that Waxes and Wanes: Likens to the moon, reflecting the cyclical nature of life's journey, its phases and changes.

  4. Ever-present Spirit: Depicts the brilliance of stars, representing the enduring and guiding spirit that illuminates our path.

  5. Petals and Thorns: Relates to the rose, symbolizing beauty, passion, and the duality of life's experiences—pleasure and pain, growth and challenges.

The poem culminates in the concept of Fire Light and Souls, suggesting that through the trials and tribulations of life (the forge), we come to know our true selves and achieve a form of eternal birth or enlightenment.

What resonates most with you in this poem?

I am so very appreciative of your response and most welcomed interpretation. Thank YOU.

In Accord... TOTEMS of SELF... Consciousness and BEING...

to·tem/ˈtōdəm/
noun
a natural object or animal believed to have spiritual significance and adopted as an emblem.

TOTEMS...

If indeed I am the RAM, opposition holds no fear
If a FROG, I am confident in my transformation
If a DOVE, I know the power of peace
If a ROBIN. I am itself splendor
If a TIGER, I am protection
If a HAWK, I am the soaring flight
If an EAGLE, I live freedom's quest
And as ROSE MARIE, I am passion's flower of the sea...

TOTEMS... TOTEMS...ONE and All I BE...

The ROSE

What longing lore of love do your petals enfold
Your sweet seductive fragrance I to behold
Bloom in rapture and radiant red array
The kiss of waters upon your petals lay.

The R O S E

Beauty in expressive bloom
Delicate be the petals
Folds of grace divine
Piercing be the thorns
Treat gentle these offerings
Such be the passions of creation.

The Rose ~ Beauty, Truth, in its own reflection...

The Rose
Beauty, Truth, in its own reflection...

Its bloom in beauty ever to be
roots, stem, thorns, petals, as ONE in grace I see
Its  truth of reflection I to behold
'tis the WORD in rapture by Creation told.
