This Window of My Mind

And so it is asked... and so it comes to pass ...
as she stands before the open window...

This Window of My Mind
this window of my mind
by what light do I see
by what impressions am I moved
by what perceptions am I led
this window of my mind
by what shadows am I reflected
by what doubts am I haunted
by what fears am I consumed
this window of my mind
by what grace am I blessed
by what wisdom am I guided
by what love am I known
this window of my mind
by what destiny am I called
by what purpose am I defined
by what faith am I strengthened
this window of my mind
be there the love of God
be there the gift of children
be there the bounty of nature
this window of my mind
be there gratitude for this gift of life
be there a NOW of grace
be there ever the blessed light of PRESENCE.

Moment by moment by moment...

A week of telephone calls… a week of messages… I listen, I hear, I reflect, I respond. I am told in tones of despair, in echoes of lament...

moment by moment by moment …

        the drawer is stuck
        the door is jammed
        the key does not fit
        the code is wrong
        the flow is blocked

what be this...

            a frustration
            a perceived impasse
            a consciousness
            a sense of helplessness
            a sigh
            a pause
            a confront
            a determination
            a vision
            an accord
            an awakening
            a doing
            a knowing
            a having
            a BEING
            a stream of consciousness
            an alignment
            a resolve
            breath simply newly free
            and so…
            the balance
            the revelation
            the exchange
            the ascension
            the truth
            the harmony
the receiving… the letting go… the giving

a release, a deep realization, a transcendence, a perception newly conceived... I am told in tones of deliverance, in echoes of salvation, in truths held.

Heart Prayer

Valentine's Day 2021
Pulsing pulsing be this heart
First breath and life bears its earthly start
Heart prayer, an inner light, a flame
Passion, faith and truth in glory name
The call to self and another true
The blessings of devotion on to you
Abiding love within each heart a questing fair
To embrace another with love's tender care
Love to ever find its blessed sacred way
This moment, this hour, this very day.

"The popular customs associated with Saint Valentine's Day undoubtedly had their origin in a conventional belief generally received in England and France during the Middle Ages, that on 14 February, i.e. half way through the second month of the year, the birds began to pair. Thus in Chaucer's Parliament of Foules we read:
For this was sent on Seynt Valentyne's day
Whan every foul cometh ther to choose his mate.
For this reason the day was looked upon as specially consecrated to lovers and as a proper occasion for writing love letters and sending lovers' tokens."

A Sunday Offering

snow it is
a cloak of shimmering light
silent be these crystals
so gently fall and fall and fall
be this Nature's Sunday Offering
now at rest.

To Mirror SELF

the writer takes to pen
the artist takes to brush
the sculptor takes to hand
all in reflection
expressions created to mirror SELF
the dancer takes to form
the musician takes to sound
the teacher takes to concept
all in reflection
expressions created to mirror SELF
the lawyer takes to righteousness
the entrepreneur takes to profit
the politician takes to opportunity
all in reflection
expressions created to mirror SELF
the dreamer takes to vision
the believer takes to faith
the seeker takes to truth
all in reflection
expressions created to mirror SELF.
