Such be the beauty....

The snow did come...

crystal light held by lithe bamboo,

barren trees and bough.

Such be the beauty

outside my kitchen windows...

Snow here in Tappan, New York ~ Winter's touch of time

A gossamer veil of gentle wind, snow and light
Settled and cloaked in crystal strokes of white
Delicate be these touches upon barren branch and bough
Beauty to behold be the snow's silent vow
A hush, a pause, define this morning's domain
Nature's splendor holds its special claim
The faint song of wind upon chime
Heralds a welcome melody to Winter's touch of time.

A Sunday Offering

snow it is
a cloak of shimmering light
silent be these crystals
so gently fall and fall and fall
be this Nature's Sunday Offering
now at rest.

And as it fell...

as the first snow crystals fell
they upon the barren tree branches
casting a spell of light
the splendor of the sparkle
the gentleness of the touch
the many faceted reflections
an inviting quietude
sacred
sacred be the silence heard.

Sunday it is... ONE

ONE

snow covered ground sparkles bright
from the warming sun and brilliant light
a chilled morning with skies of lambent blue
such be this gift of grace bestowed to you
feel the touch of time and countless days to come
know with faith and joy the blessings of the ONE.

Cosmic D A N C E

...the leaf touched by the chilling wind
     the snow that falls
          the bird song yet heard
               the chimes sounding...
                    such be this Cosmic DANCE...
                                        the Deliverance
                                           the Ascension
                                              the Nurturance
                                                 the Creation
                                                    the Exchange...
of breath and BEING.

This hour ... Tappan, New York... Cloak of Winter

Here in Tappan, New York ... at this evening hour...

Cloak of Winter

Chilling winds and winter’s angels in flight
Crystal flakes of snow in blankets of light
The cloak of winter upon branch and bough
Snow angels fulfill winter’s vow
Light beheld in this splendor of white
As drifting snow greets the coming night.

Snow here in Tappan, New York

Snow here in Tappan, New York...

A gossamer veil of gentle wind, snow and light
Settled and cloaked in crystal strokes of white
So delicate be these touches upon barren branch and bough
Beauty shall we behold be the snow's silent vow
Tenderness and temper define this morning's domain
Nature's splendor holds its special claim
The faint song of wind upon chime
Heralds a welcome melody to Winter's touch of time.

...the warming sun... the melting snow...days of a New York winter... Libation's Grace

torrential rain, mounds of falling snow
onto the receiving earth below
libation's grace upon land, farm and field
all to Spring's bloom and envisioned yield
earth and root so nourished they be
quiver of grass, the reach of the oak tree
libation be it present and ever so sweet
for the heavens and earth do lovingly meet
gift of the seasons with time ever unfold
feel I the touch of Spring's story yet to be told.

It is happening in Tappan, New York right now...brrrrrrrr....

chilling winds from north at play
many a tree in frenetic sway
winter angels busy busy they be
dusting snow as far as I do see
a gossamer veil with winds do blow
and carried be the falling snow
branch and bough all dressed in white
snow crystals and sparkles of light.

Warms hugs my friends...much love...

Markers ~ Winter Melody

..time...place... the north wind blows...

Markers

Seasons, moons, measures of time
Markers to define moments mine
The snow a gossamer veil and blanket to be
Quiet is its touch gentle upon me
A calling silence I hear with each step I take

As I look behind 'tis my path in snow I make
Rippling waves of wind, untempered, untamed
From a direction it is so named
Wild and possessing winds that enfold
The story of the North Wind here told
Seasons, moons, measures of time
Markers to define moments mine.

By the Winds

serenaded by the chimes that sing

chilled by the cold this night does bring
snow in mounds yet pure, untouched and white
swept by the winds in swirling flight
deep be the blue of the vast sky above
be these the gifts of the Creator's love
high in the deep of blue in vistas far
the brilliant light of a distant star
serenaded by the chimes that sing
chilled by the cold this night does bring.

Crystal Waters

cold be these winds, warm be the noon sun and glow
winter in all its splendor, light, ice and snow
icicles cloak my garden in shimmering array
crystal waters of brilliant light adorn this very day.

The Choral Word

ice cycles large and luminous with the noon day light
mounds of drifting snow crystals white
these wondrous gifts through my window I see
the majesty of winter in this noon hour with me
cold be the winds of this winter day
bright be the knowing sun of season's way
the song of the white breasted nuthatch is heard
an early heralding of spring be the choral word.

Light's Majestic Array

wind and light and winter's call
hues of violet upon the drifting mounting snow
beauty to behold
be it born this day
crystals of snow holding light's majestic array.

March Yet Young

In Dedication to
A young student who is everything Spring
Grace Page Boyle

The days of March yet young

A bit of time for Winter's season done
Peeking green through melted snow
Chilling winds of winter this day to blow
A sounding serenade through barren branches heard
And the coveted song of a nesting songbird
The crisp leaves of Fall's season yet found
With broken twigs upon this awaiting ground
Driving rains upon emergent buds of green
Winter giving over to Spring in this moment seen.

Melting Ice

Melting ice in the warming sun upon yet sparking snow
The bloom of Spring awaits in the covered earth below
Songbirds gather at my window and upon high soar
This season of change to welcome life new evermore.
