M O O D S

                          Moods

Colors, moods of pigment call to the artist
Line, moods of movement call to the dancer
Substance, moods of form call to the sculptor
Sound, moods of timbre call to the musician
Words, moods of expression call to the poet
… and so a story be told
                                                                    a vision be shared
                                                              a song be written
                                                       a decree declared…

Quake and Storm... OF BEING

Quake and Storm...

OF BEING

what be this passion, this driving force
this calling to create, to design, to express

what be this passion, this driving force
this calling to awaken, to perceive, to understand
to reveal, to share, to resolve
this calling to validate, to define
to live purpose, to be free, to know love
what be this passion, this driving force
to live ideas, disciplines, and mastery
this the sculptor
form, structure, newly conceived
this the artist
metaphor, symbol of creation's command
this the poet
in lamentation, in faith, in joy expressed
this the dancer, the actor, the performer
the music, the word, the song, the drama
this the quake and storm
this each heart in soul's light
what be this passion, this driving force
but the grace and power OF BEING.

You Sing Your Song

Not pained by days past
Not burdened with lessons of history
No fear to soar the sky
No doubt in moment present
Little bird, little bird
You sing your song
And ALL is known.

March Yet Young

In Dedication to
A young student who is everything Spring
Grace Page Boyle

The days of March yet young

A bit of time for Winter's season done
Peeking green through melted snow
Chilling winds of winter this day to blow
A sounding serenade through barren branches heard
And the coveted song of a nesting songbird
The crisp leaves of Fall's season yet found
With broken twigs upon this awaiting ground
Driving rains upon emergent buds of green
Winter giving over to Spring in this moment seen.
