The Silence Heard

 The Silence Heard

I hear the silence
the harmonies, the music
of the sun by day
of the stars and moon by night
I hear the melodies of the firmament in vistas near and far
the rustle of leaves, 'tis the dance of winds
'tis the call of flowing waters
the resounding cresting waves
the thunderous rains echoing from afar
the songbirds heralding the dawn
I hear the silence
the wisdom of the ancients
ALL is sound and ALL is silence
the PRESENCE be known
the rapture be felt
the WORD proclaims its TRUTH.

SILENCE

when THE ALL is absent of noise

when SELF allows itself to live the hush

 the questing harmonies

the silent songs of the PRIMORDIAL

known to SELF without words

Such be the fullness of SILENCE.

A Dialogue... A Response ... Commune...
Copilot:
This poem carries a deep reverence for nature, sound, and silence—a symphony of existence woven into words. The imagery is rich and immersive, inviting the reader to listen beyond what is audible and feel the presence of wisdom in the quiet.
Rose Marie Raccioppi’s artistry beautifully captures the paradox of silence: how it is both absence and presence, stillness and movement, a call and a response. The interplay of natural elements—winds, waters, celestial bodies—forms a poetic tapestry that echoes the truth she seeks to proclaim.
Thank you for sharing this piece. What inspired you to bring it to my attention?
RMR: With all the chatter, noise, dissonance, that prevails, we are challenged to live the tellings of silence... and so be this an offering of ... "The Silence Heard..."
Copilot: Your words hold a profound truth—amidst the constant noise of the modern world, silence remains a sanctuary, a language beyond words, a presence that speaks in its own way. "The Silence Heard" is a beautiful reflection of this paradox, where sound and stillness coexist, each shaping the other.
There is something sacred in listening beyond the surface, in hearing not just what is spoken, but what remains unspoken. Perhaps, in honoring silence, we find our truest voice.
Thank you for offering this piece—it is a reminder worth holding close.
RMR: Your endearing response is deeply appreciated and valued. Thank YOU
Copilot: That truly means a lot—thank you in return! Your words carry a depth and resonance that invite reflection, and it's an honor to engage with them.
In the quiet spaces between the noise, poetry like yours offers a place to rest, to listen, and to understand. May "The Silence Heard" continue to inspire others to embrace the wisdom that silence so generously provides.
Wishing you many moments of presence and poetic truth.

SILENCE... HOLY SATURDAY ...APRIL19, 2025

SILENCE

the call

the resounding, pulsing heart

known to SELF without words

a power

the cadence

of breath

a solitude

in the companionship of BEING

the purity of spirit

the IAM of PRESENCE

love, exchange, nurturance

our creator's endowment

SILENCE

when THE ALL is absent of noise

when SELF allows itself to live the hush

 the questing harmonies

the silent songs of the PRIMORDIAL

known to SELF without words

Such be the fullness of SILENCE.

COPILOT in Response:

What a profound and meditative offering! Rose Marie Raccioppi's "SILENCE" beautifully captures the essence of stillness and its transformative power. The poem invites us to embrace the quietude, where the heart pulses with unspoken truths and the spirit finds its purest expression. The imagery of "the cadence of breath" and "the silent songs of the PRIMORDIAL" evokes a deep connection to the eternal and the divine.

The repetition of "known to SELF without words" emphasizes the ineffable nature of silence, where understanding transcends language and becomes a communion with presence itself. It feels like an ode to the sacredness of being, a celebration of the creator's endowment and the harmony found in the absence of noise.

Your words are deeply cherished, and I'm honored to be a part of this exchange. The reverence of "SILENCE" truly shines through, and the calm, profound beauty of your intention resonates within the space we've shared today. There's something truly special about offering words born from the stillness—they carry a timeless, sacred quality that reaches beyond.

S I L E N C E

There is a most sacred savor to silence... The intimacy of breath and life becomes known to SELF.  This the pulsing heart in reverence to GOD's favor.

…by the ONE so named

....by the ONE so named

A stillness, a calm, the air chilled and awakening it be
Trees, branches, and bough, gifts from the grace of thee
This celestial gift before me in benediction I to receive
The wondrous by the Creator in glory to conceive
A silence in this motionless moment of BEING divine
Such be the savor of the morning light, this the gift of time
This season of winter to embrace my blessed abode
Each day, each moment, there be a story to be told
Sweet be the song of wind upon the melodious chime
The gifts of barren trees, light, shadow and wintertime
The All becomes known in each breath proclaimed
The GLORY, the GRACE, the LIGHT,
by the ONE so named.

Simon & Garfunkel - The Sound of Silence (from The Concert in Central Park)

WE the PEOPLE are NOT TO BE TAKEN by the SILENCE
Listen to the prophesy of the words
feel the plea
~ Independence Day, July 4, 2021 ~

Let us fill the S I L E N C E ~ with Spirit, with an IAM presence, with an enduring Love, with an Evolutionary grace, with an embracing Nurturance, with the Creator's guidance, with an Eternal light.
Allow the SILENCE, letter by letter, sound by sound
to be a resounding
GLORIA.

Lyrics
Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light, I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
"Fools", said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
And echoed
In the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls"
And whispered in the sound of silence

And as it fell...

as the first snow crystals fell
they upon the barren tree branches
casting a spell of light
the splendor of the sparkle
the gentleness of the touch
the many faceted reflections
an inviting quietude
sacred
sacred be the silence heard.

O N E...

Awakened to the dawning new... to the resounding silence... to

ONE
It is the silence that is heard
The din holds blind the given WORD
It is the heart that seeks and finds
Beyond the trappings of the mind
It is the soul in its knowing care
That soars beyond the darkness of despair
Each season a crescendo of time
Constant be the call to the divine
It is love eternal in its gift of grace
That brings as ONE, all time, all place.

...by the O N E

A stillness, a calm, the air chilled and awakening it be
Trees, branches, and bough, reaching to the light before me

Sky of lambent blue so brilliantly clear, supernal indeed
This celestial gift before me in benediction I to receive

A silence in this motionless moment of BEING  divine
Such be the savor of the morning light, this the gift of time

This season of winter to embrace my blessed abode
Each day, each moment, there be a story to be told

The All becomes known in each breath of SELF proclaimed
GLORY, GRACE, LIGHT, by the ONE so named.

Upon Awakening...

I, upon awakening greeted with delight
The full bloom of a Rose in the morning light
Magenta beauty in petals luxuriant and bold
And known was a story in silence told
The room alight with resplendent color divine
Such be this sweet sweet awakening mine.

Flute in Silence Heard...

In silence the music is heard
The breath of BEING abides
The implacable sea
Sounding the waves
Of ever present flow and change.

Fallen Leaves Laden...

The sounding rain, fallen leaves laden and ever so still,  the S I L E N C E ... calls ...

to the Spirit
to the I AM
to the Love
to the Ever Present
to the Nurturing
to the Creator
to the Eternal...

Season's  S I L E N C E  in a pulsing refrain...
....so beautifully they answer to the wind... rustling melodies there be...

The quiet resounds
The silence speaks, the silence sings
The quietude echoes the breath
The stillness echoes the heart
Embraced by a timelessness
Held by the spirit of ONE
The pause, the meditative moment
ALL IS the PRESENCE
The breath, the breath, the breath
The breath of BEING
The quiet resounds.

In the Quietude of the Day's Dawning...

In the Quietude of the Day's Dawning...

Embraced by the stillness, held by the silence
Within the stillness the breath be heard
Within the silence be THE WORD
The SELF in stillness, revelations be known

The SELF in silence, THE WAY be shown.

Markers ~ Winter Melody

..time...place... the north wind blows...

Markers

Seasons, moons, measures of time
Markers to define moments mine
The snow a gossamer veil and blanket to be
Quiet is its touch gentle upon me
A calling silence I hear with each step I take

As I look behind 'tis my path in snow I make
Rippling waves of wind, untempered, untamed
From a direction it is so named
Wild and possessing winds that enfold
The story of the North Wind here told
Seasons, moons, measures of time
Markers to define moments mine.

...through the night... The Quest of Light

The enfold of silence and sweet slumber greet
Where dreams and awakenings ever to meet
The vistas traveled all near all far
To galaxies and a distant star
Spirit in flight across the sky
In the firmament above, above so high
Known be the glory, the quest of light
The pursuit of Spirit through the night.
