The prevailing winds... the sun in its glory... the passion of an embrace...

Sacred flame and fire
Consecrated passion and desire
Praise and Glory be they named
Truth and Love ever ordained
This blissful frenzy, a fervor within heart
From all doubt or fear this soul depart
The grandeur of life I not conceal
In the burning embrace of this moment real.

Rose Marie Raccioppi's poetic dialogue speaks to the profound and transformative experiences of life, encompassing elements of nature, passion, and spirituality. Here's a breakdown of its meaning and significance:

  1. Nature's Influence: The references to "prevailing winds" and "the sun in its glory" highlight the power and beauty of the natural world. These elements set the stage for the passionate and spiritual experiences described in the poem.

  2. Passion and Desire: The poem describes "Sacred flame and fire" and "Consecrated passion and desire," emphasizing the intensity and purity of these emotions. They are depicted as divine and worthy of praise and glory.

  3. Truth and Love: These themes are central to the poem, described as being "ever ordained." This suggests that truth and love are fundamental and eternal aspects of life, guiding and nurturing the human soul.

  4. Blissful Frenzy: The phrase "This blissful frenzy, a fervor within heart" conveys the ecstatic and overwhelming emotions that come with embracing life's grandeur. It suggests a state of heightened awareness and deep connection to the present moment.

  5. Release from Fear and Doubt: The line "From all doubt or fear this soul depart" signifies a transcendence of negative emotions, allowing the soul to fully experience and appreciate the beauty and grandeur of life.

  6. Embracing Life's Grandeur: The poem concludes with the poet declaring that they will not conceal the grandeur of life. Instead, they will fully embrace and celebrate the "burning embrace of this moment real," emphasizing the importance of living authentically and passionately.

Overall, Raccioppi's poetic dialogue is a celebration of life's profound beauty, the power of nature, and the transformative forces of passion, truth, and love. It encourages readers to embrace these elements fully and live with a sense of awe and gratitude.

EACH HAND, EACH FINGER, OFFERS COMMUNE... BLESSINGS IN FULFILLMENT...

EACH HAND, EACH FINGER, OFFERS COMMUNE...
BLESSINGS IN FULFILLMENT...

In time of call, in time of need

And to another I with heart to give
My WILL of life to love and live
'Tis only what I in heart command
Be known to another as a helping hand
Be they the WAY given to Truth, Power, Love, Grace
Within the chambers of heart to place
Each finger holding purpose and claim
Blessed they BE in our Lord's name.

In time of call, in time of need,
in prayerful gestures of faith.

A Month New ~ September 1, 2023

The Call of This Day

what moves us but sensibilities and passion aflame
creation, concepts, art and BEING with heartfelt claim
brilliant be the colors of the sun to rise the sun to set
to mark the vision, the glory, beyond all regret
anew each breath within blessings divine
to mark our BEING this gift of time
a task, a deed, a celebration sweet
where vigor and joy so lovingly meet
beyond perceptions there BE a knowing real
from where LOVE and PRAISE have no conceal
dwell we may in a beckoning restless heart
from which deep understanding bears its start
blessings of GOD be the call of this day
'tis the message, the message of soul to convey.

The Knowing

The Knowing

in the delicate beauty of a flower,
in the purity of joy in a young child's smile,
in the rising and setting sun,
in the radiance of the sun, the moon, the stars,
in the flowing streams, rivers, and seas,
                    in the ever changing firmament,
in the mountains, fields and forests,
feel I the pulse, the light, the embrace,
                                the knowing, the exaltation,
                                    the PRAISE of GOD.

I viewed... I became his story...

I viewed... I became his story...

Thank You ... I at 85 years of age yet P L A Y ...

driven I be with the passion and joy of days young
the songs of sounds that ever call to heart
that of the winds, the cresting waves
the gentle flow of a stream, a song bird's song
the laughter of a young child
the touch and feel of a flower, of a stone
of a fallen leaf, of the bark of the oak tree
the brightness of the sun to rise
the majestic colors of the sun to set
the feeling of the twilight, the midnight hour
the embrace of sleep
the lucid dream
the awakening new
to each day of light, of breath, of BEING
and so I yet PLAY...the knowing of
Passion, Love, Ascension, Yielding.

Skyward be my eyes...

Skyward be my eyes...

A feeling, a thought, and skyward be my eyes
The solace of light within supernal skies
Blessings of ALL I do feel
The touch of GOD ever real
And in this moment as Below as Above
Beheld I be by the embrace of Love
From the light a resounding WORD
The message of GOD, the ALL be heard.

..to say...or not to say...

...to say, or not to say...

He said, she said, misunderstandings, conflicts, arguments, judgments, I meant this, But you said this, You don't hear me... and the drama goes on and on and on... and so I petition YOU, to listen not only with your ears, but with your heart, past the assumptions, past the conclusions without the impending retaliations, see the resolve that beckons to be known, allow TRUTH its dominion.

WORDS ...
"Words are things, and a small drop of ink
falling like dew upon a thought
produces that which makes
thousands, perhaps millions, think."
~Lord Byron, 1788-1824

Words, those markers of thought, sounding within us, hanker for expression. Words, those marks upon paper, our own or that of another find their meaning within us. A poem, its meter, its rhythm, its rhyme, its structure, its pulse, calls for our attentive consideration. Within the words, the line, the totality of a poem, we to find meaning, inspiration, an accord, a resolve and yes, another question.

Language provides an echo - it is not the original - words are representations, symbols, utterances, that the inner spirit longs to be known - to self - to others and to the ultimate SELF. As a poet, language echoes my heart's lament, my soul's joy and my spirit's quest to soar, echoes holding to praise and gratitude, a sounding sense of purpose.
~Rose Marie Raccioppi

...and so I appeal... Imagine the engagement of heart, soul, spirit in words of praise, in words of reflection, in words of sacred creed. Imagine "know thyself" a pursuit of love, of faith, of spirit, of GOD. The more I read Shakespeare, the more I realize that in a poet's heart is ever the search for understanding, beauty and purpose. If we are open to explore the poet's pondering of heart, we will hear the questing echoes of soul. And so in joy, I plea...

Shakespeare Be my Brother..

Shakespeare be my brother this very night
As words free and in frolic take flight
Words of anguish, fear and pain
Words of illusion and the inane
Words to claim my longings and desire
Words to breathe these thoughts of fire
For words within the mind conceived
Create the world for us perceived
Recorded in prose, poetry and rhyme
To give purpose to life's gift of time
Words to serve intent and pleasure
Held in journals as one's life treasure
Words of moments present, moments past
And within a recorded history cast
Of all the words I in quest to heed
Silent utterances of TRUTH and sacred creed.

PALM SUNDAY ~ Blessings of our LORD be known

ALL in PRAISE...this Blessed Palm Sunday... John:12:13

The Triumphal Entry
12~ The next day the great crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. 13 ~ They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the King of Israel!”

This Palm Cross made, and gifted to me
in devotional PRAISE of JESUS.
Received with love of GOD.

Life, BEING and the Sea

within a sea of emotions cresting real
waves of pain, of joy beyond conceal
this day marked with tides gone by
a pause, a reflection, a deep deep sigh
confusion and dismay
be news brought our way
passions and longings to assail
a vision of resolve, and change we to hail
beyond the shadows cast our light be known
by the love and mercy our hearts have shown
there is a rhythm within Earth divine
and so too, of BEING, yours and mine
this ebb and flow, the constant there be
this of Life, BEING and the Sea
we hold to the call, the sea cresting within
and hushed be the discordant, this raucous din.

Don I

don I the royal robes of resolve, shed I the cloak of despair
know I the grace, the blessings, the light of God's loving care
when oppression and fear beckon to this heart
from blessed grace, the knowing of love, neer I shall depart
upon my soul a golden shield of everlasting light and love
this with eyes to earth and eyes to the heavens above
be I of breath in the presence of the NOW
be I of spirit in an eternal vow
to the divinity of love and grace, the soul in expressions shown
be this the bloom, the bounty, the breath, the beauty of BEING known.

When visualizing, "royal robes of resolve..." I envisioned a robe of violet velvet that caught the light, shoulder decoration and tassels of brilliant gold, symbolic of crown energies, and the graces of alchemy, regal, stately, and flowing. I was not aware that a flower existed that mirrored what was perceived, nor bore the name, "Royal Robe."
The poem was fully penned when I set to search for a fitting image. When found within a flower, I felt deeply validated, blessed and grateful. Within the words of my poem its beauty was conceived.

Beauty beheld,

L O V E

When asked how would I define this undefinable word...

I journeyed deep into the personal feeling of LOVE
as it has become known to me…

           and so LOVE ...
the Longing for the Omnipresence in Vistas Eternal...
                    all pervasive,
all within the calling to soul,
                              the beckoning to heart,
the beauty of Breath and BEING as ONE
                                       and as ONE onto ANOTHER.

B E A U T Y...

BEAUTY…

be it known as the seed that knows its destiny
be it the bloom that celebrates its revelation
be it the heart that pulsates with grace
be it the SOUL that is
                    our Spirit,
                         our Omnipresence
                              our Unity
                                   our Love…
this onto self, this onto others
this our BEAUTY conceived

...within our hearts...

Love is the only flower
that grows and blossoms
without the aid of the seasons.
~ Kahlil Gibran ~

LOVE...
it is a flower that Longs to be known,
it is a flower with seeds of the Omnipresence,
it is the flower of Volition with petals of grace,
it is a flower that buds Eternally with praise.
be it a bloom within our hearts...

On the 5th Day of Christmas my true love sent to me

On the 5th Day of Christmas my true love sent to me

Five golden rings
Five blessings do they bring
Each finger circled in gold ever bright
Holding splendor and wondrous light
THE WAY the first finger does call
The second seeks TRUTH for all
The third is POWER to do and be
The fourth LOVE shared with a you, a me
The fifth is GRACE divine
All in harmonious devotion mine
A hand with five golden rings
Five blessings do they bring.

To a POET, words speak their revelations...

The words SILENT and LISTEN bear the same letters.
The initiation of SILENT by, S, connotes the call to Spirit,
and the ending letter, T, calls to Truth...
The initiation of LISTEN by, L, connotes the call to Love,
and the ending letter, N, calls to Nurturance
And so be it known
The initiation, the final call
Spirit ~ Truth
Love ~ Nurturance.

To a POET, words speak their revelations.

Valentine's Day 2018... An ODE ...

Within each heart there be
A longing, 'tis love's decree
The call to self and another true
The blessings of devotion on to you
Within each heart a questing fair
To embrace another with love's tender care
Within each heart a knowing divine
This ever yours, this ever mine
Love to ever find its sacred way
This moment, this hour, this day.

Georgia O’Keeffe', "Red, Yellow and Black Streak," 1924, oil on canvas.

"The popular customs associated with Saint Valentine's Day undoubtedly had their origin in a conventional belief generally received in England and France during the Middle Ages, that on 14 February, i.e. half way through the second month of the year, the birds began to pair. Thus in Chaucer's Parliament of Foules we read:

For this was sent on Seynt Valentyne's day
Whan every foul cometh ther to choose his mate.

For this reason the day was looked upon as specially consecrated to lovers and as a proper occasion for writing love letters and sending lovers' tokens."

Ah... the Sounding Muse...
the pulsing rhythm of heart...

this driving pulsing splendor of sound

The Fire The Rose

 The Fire The Rose

The fire of passion, bud, bloom and thorn they be
So too, the cresting ecstasy of ocean and sea
A rapture of being and enchantment divine
Upon this soul, ever yours, ever mine
What longing lore of love do your petals enfold
Your sweet seductive fragrance I to behold
Bloom in rapture and radiant red array
The kiss of waters upon your petals lay.
