Life, BEING and the Sea

within a sea of emotions cresting real

waves of pain, of joy beyond conceal

this day marked with tides gone by

a pause, a reflection, a deep deep sigh

confusion and dismay

be news brought our way

passions and longings to assail

a vision of resolve, and change we to hail

beyond the shadows cast our light be known

by the love and mercy our hearts have shown

there is a rhythm within Earth divine

and so too, of BEING, yours and mine

this ebb and flow, the constant there be

this of Life, BEING and the Sea

we hold to the call, the sea cresting within

and hushed be the discordant, this raucous din.

passions, cresting waves divine

this the pulsing heart of mine

a sea of fire and light 

beyond shadows vast

the ebb and flow of flaming grace

in love's caress be cast.

When the Mood Is Velvet

when the mood is velvet
and the feel is pearl
when the touch is longing
and the moment fleeting
the depths of darkness enfold
and passions with palette be they told.

when the hour calls to the heart
and the soul echoes a refrain
when the Muse is newly beckoned
and the breath so deeply felt
the splendors of light enfold
and passions with palette be they told.

All That Enfolds

flowing be all that enfolds
this mind, this heart, this soul
softly embracing light and shadow
draped in the caress of beauty
passions lived, a story told
a giving grace ever to behold.

From ancient times to the present, folds fluid, drapery upon self, object, castle, or abode, to lend the metaphoric beauty of life's ever present grace and flow.
And so too, I offer this swaddling of spirit known.

This Heart, This Soul, This ALL

Quell not these passions aflame afire
The yearnings of this soul's desire
Know I this moment in living need
Creation and Being my heart to heed
Brush, paint, inner whispers heard
And cast upon paper Spirit's Word
I in the embrace of Creation's call
With WORD, this heart, this soul, this ALL.
