Ascension

 Introduction

Within the APOGEE Sound Sanctuary, the watercolor Ascension and its companion poem stand as a unified expression of rising consciousness. The painting breathes in soft, luminous hues that lift the spirit, while the poem moves in a cadence of clarity, devotion, and grace. Together, they embody the principle of Ascending Intelligence — the continual movement of awareness toward light, purpose, and peace.

This work arose through communion. The painting called forth its own becoming; the poem answered with its own illumination. In their union, color becomes vibration, word becomes resonance, and the Sanctuary, a place where art, spirit, energy, and intention meet in harmony.

Ascension

demanding be the many tasks at hand

a perception, a plan, action in command

intention and focus be the call of the day

the gift of time and a knowing provide the way

how sweet when vision is newly held clear

when the din of despair is silenced and gone the fear

how comforting is this moment's embrace

when within heart, love the soul does place

how knowing is an ascension's call

when resounding with the grace of ALL

and as I cast my sight to the lambent sky

feel I the beauty of the moving firmament on high

the lithe bamboo touched by the gentle winds that blow

breath, faith, 'tis all that I need now know

the day by Nature's plan does unfold

and I to be led by THE WORD ever told.

WORDS ~ .Pen in Hand

Calls... headlines... tasks... and too, a pen in hand...
WORDS... to sound the silence, to echo the heart,
to sing the soul...

Pen In Hand
calling calling be heart's command
and here this pen in poet's hand
a smile, a gesture, the setting sun
a creed, a mission, a task now done
'tis not what I alone to answer nor unfold
the pleas of love be too, your story told
all to awaken each vision yet held
purpose and right intention in glory meld
with word and reach and faith in command
here be this pen in poet's hand.

..to say...or not to say...

...to say, or not to say...

He said, she said, misunderstandings, conflicts, arguments, judgments, I meant this, But you said this, You don't hear me... and the drama goes on and on and on... and so I petition YOU, to listen not only with your ears, but with your heart, past the assumptions, past the conclusions without the impending retaliations, see the resolve that beckons to be known, allow TRUTH its dominion.

WORDS ...
"Words are things, and a small drop of ink
falling like dew upon a thought
produces that which makes
thousands, perhaps millions, think."
~Lord Byron, 1788-1824

Words, those markers of thought, sounding within us, hanker for expression. Words, those marks upon paper, our own or that of another find their meaning within us. A poem, its meter, its rhythm, its rhyme, its structure, its pulse, calls for our attentive consideration. Within the words, the line, the totality of a poem, we to find meaning, inspiration, an accord, a resolve and yes, another question.

Language provides an echo - it is not the original - words are representations, symbols, utterances, that the inner spirit longs to be known - to self - to others and to the ultimate SELF. As a poet, language echoes my heart's lament, my soul's joy and my spirit's quest to soar, echoes holding to praise and gratitude, a sounding sense of purpose.
~Rose Marie Raccioppi

...and so I appeal... Imagine the engagement of heart, soul, spirit in words of praise, in words of reflection, in words of sacred creed. Imagine "know thyself" a pursuit of love, of faith, of spirit, of GOD. The more I read Shakespeare, the more I realize that in a poet's heart is ever the search for understanding, beauty and purpose. If we are open to explore the poet's pondering of heart, we will hear the questing echoes of soul. And so in joy, I plea...

Shakespeare Be my Brother..

Shakespeare be my brother this very night
As words free and in frolic take flight
Words of anguish, fear and pain
Words of illusion and the inane
Words to claim my longings and desire
Words to breathe these thoughts of fire
For words within the mind conceived
Create the world for us perceived
Recorded in prose, poetry and rhyme
To give purpose to life's gift of time
Words to serve intent and pleasure
Held in journals as one's life treasure
Words of moments present, moments past
And within a recorded history cast
Of all the words I in quest to heed
Silent utterances of TRUTH and sacred creed.

"The Finer Things of Life," ... gifted onto me ...

A gift, timeless in its commune... WORDS that echo the soul, pulse the heart, WORDS that call to the Wondrous, the Omnipresence, the Revelations, the Divinity, the Spirited. And so this day a gratitude expressed anew for, "The Finer Things of Life," gifted onto me by my son, Christopher Angelo. Pages that unfold, that beckon the SELF to be known.

A gift of a son...
Echoes of Many Voices
Within this very moment
And seven scores past
Echoes of many voices
Upon pages in words cast
Hearts aquiver, souls in quest
Thoughts, perceptions, truth
Love, purpose, to hail our behest.
Longings, reflections, grace and gratitude
Within wisdom's heart be they ever mine
Words of thinkers, lovers, the moods of a day
And the touch of the known Divine.

Ravel - Bolero. Sergiu Celibidache 1971

One is seduced by the gentle touch of sound ... to a mounting momentum, until one becomes the crescendo completely in rapture. Thank You....

Music calls to me in color, in movement, and in the passions, that pulse our very BEING.
Hear I the music and the words become expressive echoes
Hear I the words and the music becomes the dance
Hold I the pen and the paper bears the poetry of heart
Hold I the brush and the canvas bears my soul.

WHAT

and what does a poet do
to make her soul known to you
her words held within time and deed
be this her love and sacred creed
melodies majestic she in silence sings
in honor of what each breath does bring
a moment to savor be it the NOW
with pen and paper she fulfills a vow
to take reflection and its known call
heed well the Glory, the Presence, the All.

…the pleasure of the POET

Recently I was asked, “What do you feel when you read or hear a word.?”  I, in response: "Sounds, letters be they heard or silent, gather for their mission… to coney meaning to the NOW.” I look to the sounding vowels, the very spirit of the word, the song within  ready for release. I look to the sounding consonants, for the structure they provide, I look to the silent vowels, the silent consonants, for the support they offer. Yes, they present themselves as WORDS in Revelation …  holding to their mission of commune and call. Be this the pleasure of the POET. In repose, reflection, revelation, resolve...

The SOUL as Muse...

YES, there is a Muse for poetic expression... for delivered by the SOUL be...

       Splendor
              Omnipresence
                     Unity
                            Love

... and so the poet listens to the knowing SOUL, and beholds words of praise, beauty, truth, and the grace of BEING.

With Words and Sounds

with words and sounds play I must
the MUSE beckoning wise I trust
words and sounds in accord they to be
with the music, the melody deep within me

so found be words of reflection and thought
I in gratitude to what the MUSE has brought
words and sounds now given to be best
upon the journal page with pen I lay rest
inspired by the delight and seduction divine
moments of musing,  passionate and sublime.

WORDS... in revelation...

Such spirit infused with posts shared this day.  An accord among those whose work is of the child... that of self and that of life born new... and so this I share... the word within our hearts ... let our resolve ever be guided by the Being known as ...

CHILD

Care
Heart
Inspiration
Love
Divinity.

It was stated... "...we are echoes..." to which I respond in reflection... be they...

ECHOES

.....  Ever
the Call
of.. Heart
the Omnipresence
of.. Eternal
.....  Spirit.

Yes, each letter speaks the calling of the WORD... blessed BE. I too, in heartfelt expression and in PRAISE hold to ...

GRATITUDE

Grace
Resolve
Aspiration
Truth
Inspiration
Treasures
Unity
Divinity
Eternal.

...a post, a comment,  and 'beautiful words'  acknowledged... and so...

WORDS

the Wondrous
the Oneness
in.. Revelation
the Divinity
in.. Spirit...

and so BE they too, the artistry of the pulsing heart.
