Up the Hill...

up the hill from Liberty Road there be

the splendor of roots, branch and bough of many a tree

golden leaves that hold to the sun's morning light

behold I too, those taken by gentle winds to flight

with such beauty of Autumn gifted are we

the golden grace of PRESENCE onto thee.

Blessed Alchemy

trees in revelation of secrets of time

joy in emergent colors devine

in my garden there now be

golden leaves of blessed alchemy

wondrous be these expressions of Fall

from trees mighty and proudly tall

behold I the splendor of a resounding grace

their secret of joy within soul I place.

October Mood

I feel the warmth of the mid-day sun, the anticipation of the darker and longer night, the earth in its depth of care, the glory upon each leaf now in blushes of gold... and so, "October Mood," from this palette of Nature's grace... 

the richness of the dark earth

the yet warming golden beams of light

the amber waves of Autumn's call

bounty and beauty in tone and hue

this be an October mood.
