MARS APPROACH (26 AUGUST 2010)

The Moon and Mars

Child of Aries, I, in accord as ONE
Brilliant full moon aglow
Haloed in violet, gray and indigo
Mars warrior of this night sky
Rays of splendor cast on high
APOGEE this August moon be known
Alignment of spirit and power in light shown.
Pulsing be this light within my heart
Love, power, light, ever the end, ever the start.

Rose Marie Raccioppi

On August 27th Mars came to within 34,649,589 miles of Earth and was next to the moon, the brightest object in the night sky. Indeed a most brilliant night sky encounter! It has been calculated that this event will happen again in 2287.
And so for me, a child of Aries birth, a once in a lifetime joy.

This Cresting

Waters of the ocean, the sea
Know this cresting that be
Turbulent waves in thunderous cry
For all the loss, the tears gone by
Your changing tides high and low
To the moon beholden your ebb and flow.

APOGEE Moon

I look to the sky this night
The gentle caress of day's end
Winter's apogee moon
A lullaby silent.
