...jewel of the night sky... December Night

indigo sky of this December night
a season of birth in celebration and light
the gift of gold given by a King
for the treasures a new life destined to bring
see I the guiding star and alchemy's grace
flame of golden gifts of Presence, time and place.

Nightly Forage

This nightly forage in solitude
Gathering the spoils of silence
Held by the embrace of spirit
Bathed by the light of a distant star.

Awakened

Swaddled
in the warmth
of summer night
Crickets calling
to the silence
Stars
and wisps of white
don the sky
The light
of the crescent moon
dispels the darkness
And I
awakened to behold.

This June Night

I hear the frenetic dance of the tree branches
The chilling wind of this night howls
Chimes resounding laud the wind in song
I look to the darkened sky
'Tis alight with hues of soft violet
Before me a gossamer veil of mist
Hold I in heart a celestial Presence
This June night.

This Night That Knows No Sleep

Held within the deep darkness
Cast of black stroked by magenta
Touched by the warm and wet air
The breadth of silence in hushed refrain
Suspended in the eternal womb of time
This night that knows no sleep
Within the black shadows of the trees
Below the darkened magenta sky
Grass wet cool green new below my feet
The feel of the warm whispering stillness
This night that knows no sleep.

Ever New

I look to the sky this night
Shades of magenta and blue
Reflections cast from the moon
From stars of distant light
The soft new feel of Spring
A lullaby silent
The scent of young bloom
The gentle caress of day's end
This night's embrace holds
To the awakening
Of the day ever new.

The Night

The darkness will not be silenced
It calls out
And the light hears its cry.

APOGEE Moon

I look to the sky this night
The gentle caress of day's end
Winter's apogee moon
A lullaby silent.

Night Journey

Canticle of Love
Franz Liszt

Peering through the raindrops upon the window pane
The night sky of violet and blue
The crescent moon veiled by a drifting cloud
The night embraces me and I am blanketed in its mystery
This unknown and uncharted moment of time
Sound painted streams, rivers, oceans
Such cascading waters of mind
Reach now the valley of my soul.
