Season of C H A N G E

Season of C H A N G E ~ here in Tappan, New York

see I the beckoning utterances of Fall
the touch of amber upon leaves of the dogwood
the now shorter day, the now longer night
summer rains in libation
summer winds that dance branch and leaves
the warmth of the dawning day new
such be the season of change
heed well the Calling, the Harmonies
the Aspirations, the Nurturance
the Grace, the Eternal
within the presence, within BEING
change, the constant ever in expressive call
the glory, the fire, the breath of BEING, the ALL.

A Season of Change... the calling wind...

A season of change... emergent colors...
leaves taken by the calling wind...and I...🍂
past shallow waters
to the depths of BEING
past pretense and fear
to the depths of TRUTH
past the silence
to the expressive WORD
past reprisals and judgments
to the grace, the knowing, the beauty of SELF
the SELF as Spirit, Evolution, Love, Freedom
this in each breath of BEING
this in each breath of BEING...

A season of change... emergent colors...
leaves taken by the calling wind.🍂

Hour by Hour...

Hour by hour ... the sun, the rain, the storm, the calm, the joy, the pain, the vision, the knowing, the doubting, the dream yet real, ever CHANGE ... be it the resounding call, the ever present quest for...

Creation
     Harmony
          Ascension
               Nurturance

                    Grace
Evolution ... to serve, to BE.

Flame of Breath

Flame of Breath

every experience, every need, every perception
every thought, every longing, every deception
to KNOW THYSELF from each consideration of life
be it of anticipation, of vision, of glory, of strife
a moment, comes to be both the present and the past
every breath of BEING, a seed upon consciousness cast
heed the sounding of change and each calling desire
quell not the flame of breath that feeds passion’s fire.

Interlude... at my window...

Interlude…  2:55 PM ~ At My Window in Tappan, New York
Sweet rain sounding
Gem colored leaves in libation’s grace
Brilliant crimson dogwood at my window
Branch and bough holding to the light of the sun
This the season of fall fulfilling its vow
This the moment, this the moment, NOW...

Photo: Crimson Dogwood, Collectible Clicks, ©Rose Marie Raccioppi.

And NOW at: 3:38 PM...
The bright sun and clear lambent sky
Glistens the rain touched gems of color
Leaves newly brilliant in the wake of light
Moment majestic in the wake of change
This the season of fall fulfilling its vow
This the moment, this the moment, NOW...

M I T I G A T E ...

And when a therapist is an artist, and also a poet...
healing, and the artistry of the WORD
call to heart...

M I T I G A T E… mitigate (mitəˌgāt)
verb
•make less severe, serious, or painful
• lessen the gravity of (an offense or mistake)

ORIGIN late Middle English: from Latin mitigat- ‘softened, alleviated,’ from the verb mitigare, from mitis ‘mild.’

And what is called upon? What sounding does this word MITIGATE define? I listened to the student. Pain was real. The desire for change was real. How to mitigate was the question. How is one to ease the feelings brought about by trauma? I looked to each letter of the word for its revealed message. And behold, to MITIGATE … to live beyond the lies of oppression, to awaken to one’s own destiny free of the limiting judgment of others… to BE the comfort of SELF… to know anew...

the Majesty
the I AM
the Truth
the Inspiration
the Glory
the Ascension
the Treasures
the Eternal … within each Breath of BEING…

… knowing how to receive, how to let go, how to give onto SELF.

Each word in revelation brought forward experiences, emotions, realizations. At the close of the session, the affirming power of the word, and its defined calling to the listening soul, brought to heart a release, a liberation, a newly embraced ease, and an awakened vision of change.

YES, behold the power of the WORD.

Its Claim

certainty be an ever present variable of change
what lies ahead has many a term and many a name
what with certainty can one with heart and mind proclaim
be it that the breath present bears life its claim
the heart in its pulsing passion sounds its plea
this breath of life, the gift of time on to thee
savor the ebb and flow of life and spirit within
hear the rhythmic beat beyond the oppressive din
heed well the sounding glory sacred and divine
hold in revered celebration life's gift of pulsing time.

Branches Yet Bare

...this noon hour in Tappan, New York...

running waters from the melting mounds of snow
ice cycles surrendering to the sun's gentle warmth
the scamper of squirrels upon ground and towering Oak
sun's light behind the drifting clouds on high
song and flight of birds upon branches yet bare
the sigh of winter the beckoning of spring
light and change, this each passing day to bring.

Winds of Change

The ears deafened by the din of despair
The eyes blinded by the glare of illusion
The heart ravaged by the pain of betrayal
The soul hidden within the shattered self
Waves of destruction crest a sea of confusion
Life’s shores besieged by fear
Spirit summoned in the wake of the storm
Behold its calm resolve
The winds of change can now be heard
The distant shores now seen in the light of the rising sun
Rhythmic this heart with the cadence of the ocean tide
Undaunted now by the resounding ebb and flow
And the constant winds of change.
