Dance of Light

passions known and expressed they be
deliverance by the hands of destiny
line, color, and shadows cast in light
to the call of the muse in flowing flight
with palette and bush a mood to define
such be the gifts, the gifts of NOW and time.

What Color of Spirit...

"Nature always wears the colors of the spirit."
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

What color be this moment ~ What mood ~ What spirit of BEING...

Is it the red of passion that sparks with flame and desire
It it the orange of a setting sun that holds to Creation's fire
Is it the yellow that dances with knowing joy and delight
Is it the green that lives the blessings of God's light
It is the blue so vast and clear of a day time sky
Is it the indigo of the night and stars on high
Is it the violet of Spirit’s crowning grace
Is it the magenta that holds Soul’s place
It is each, each and ALL
Heed the silent and resounding call.

Troves Of Time

Mood, these moments of being, the troves of time
In reflection, thoughts as words line by line
Treasures vaulted within this heart
From which reverie has its start
Garlands of thought ever free
Gifts of life bequeathed unto thee
Now and memories of old
Mark this time yet to be told
What pray tell am I to understand
The God within holds loving command
And so this moment born ever new
Troves of time betrothed to you.

Haiku Mood - At My Door

'tis morning to greet
the calling at my front door
a songbird in flight

the light of the sun

quivering of grass and leaf

sweet fragrance of bloom

leaf, petal, feather

delivered by gentle winds
gift of bloom and bird.

March Days

March days
The crisp crackle of dried leaves
The soft quiver of growing grass
The deep sigh of soft winds
The feel of air yet chilled
The play of green and blooming yellow
The mood of early Spring.

Mood Expressed This Day

Ascending waves of gray
'Tis the sky's mood expressed this day
Veering hues of white
Veiled be the sun's light.
