Nightingale

Oh, sweet sounds thy Nightingale
Upon my soul this night I hail
And I in reverie and charm delight
Embraced by this sonorous night
Light lilting waves of love so real
All within my heart to feel
Upon piano keys now heard
The music of the night songbird.

Harmony

Upon her face the light I see
My heart beckons a soulful plea
Her music I hear and known be my heart
From this embracing moment I shan't depart
In silent knowing I vow she be mine
And in this moment is defined all time.

The Music, The Music

Accord
Awakened sensibilities
A divine frenzy
Colors of splendor
Sounding of passion
The music, the music
Keys, strings
Voice the moment
The quest of BEING
Embraced by sounding drama
Lilting waves of resolve
The music, the music
The calm
The crescendo
The cresting light
The silent spaces
The emptiness
The music, the music
And I in its embrace
In its beckoning call
In its sounding splendor
In its soulful search
In its grasping quest
The music, the music.

Keys and Strings

Keys and strings
The splendor of sound
Heart and spirit ever to resound
Blessed be the muse, the music sublime
Creation's call known in sounding divine
Heard be the winds and the rolling waves of sea
Tender the touch, deep passion in mounting plea
Bloom and petals alight in frivolity play
To the awakened reverie I do pray
Lilting sentiments resonant and real
The muse, the music, the soul to reveal.

Sandro Plays

Heard within the Presence of Self
The resounding of piano and passion
Hands and fingers move in lilting grace
Each note calls to be known
To be this moment opulent
A sea of silence
Enfolded in the embracing waves
Of sound majestic
Upon piano keys a soul to place
Sandro plays
And known be the eternal
The music, the music.

This Grandeur

Passion's pulse in command
Piano keys await your hand
Sounding this array of emotion
Fingers set in waves of motion
God, Truth, Power, Love and Grace
Known with each finger placed
Piano keys voice spirit’s calling plea
Presence, reflections, lyrical reverie
Gloria Patri be the praise, the claim
Held is this grandeur in your name.

Passion, Piano and the Poet’s Pen

Passion, piano and the poet's pen sublime
Music and artistry 'tis nature's grace divine
The music, the words, the poem's soulful plea
Impassioned strings of heart known and set free
The artist's unveiling, the poet's word
And the music, the music, to be ever heard
These gifts of purpose, will and intent
Summon be the Muse with God's blessings sent.

In Tribute to Nathaniel Ayers, The Soloist

Calling, calling is his prayer
The strings of his soul dispel despair
The music within is ever heard
Known to his heart is God's word
Confusion and chaos in great abound
Within his world a purpose found
The music, the cello, his being, his glory
And told is the Soloist story
Beethoven to fill his chambers of pain
'Tis the music and God to call his name
Colors in resounding rapture and light
His soaring soul these moments in flight
From the shackles of judgment he does flee
In sonorous ascension his spirit known free.

A Tribute to the Amasi Trio

Heed Wise The Muse

Heed wise the Muse, your counsel of soul
God’s blessings to mark your goal
Another’s time and glory
And now ‘tis my story
Others have walked in the sun
My time has now just begun
Words of knowing within my heart
From this joy I shall newly start
Another’s creation in celebration
And I God’s eternal revelation
The plea from grace now known
I in gratitude for creation shown
The sculptor’s hand
In God’s command
Line and form to reveal
God’s beauty constant and real
Spectrum of color from a palette divine
Immortal the quest this moment be mine
The artist’s unveiling, the poet’s word
And the music, the music, to be ever heard
Heed wise the Muse, your counsel of soul
God’s blessings to mark your goal.

The Awakened Muse

The awakened Muse in God's spirit known
By the glory, beauty, splendor ever shown
The warm rising Sun for newness and light
The waxing Moon for faith's inner sight
Each bloom of Spring but a beckoning call
For the rebirth of life within each and All
Music and artistry 'tis nature's grace divine
Muse inspired note, form, structure and line
The music, the words, the poem's soulful plea
The drawing, the painting, the sculpture free
These gifts of purpose, goal, will and intent
The summon of the Muse with God's blessings sent
And when the Word sparks a thought of joy and rhyme
A wind's whisper, a bird's song, the day, the night be mine
Sky, land, mountain, stream, lake, river and sea
A palette of color, mood, bequeathed in guise to me
The vision, the dream now anew in God's Word
The Muse's entreat to follow, to follow, now heard
Line, form, sound, color, structure ever in creation
And so the awakened Muse in devoted revelation.

Prelude, Chorale and Fugue, Cesar Franck

The mounting quest and fervor real
This heart knows not to conceal
Open to feel, long and mark desire
Pleading passion, flame and fire
Quiet the repose and soft the slumber
Nothing shall restrain or encumber
I willing to heed passion's plea
In all sensibilities I not flee
Each shade, hue, timbre and tone
I in your Presence, One and alone
Rippling waves of time and place
Know I the rapture of God's grace.

She Plays

Loss and the beauty of what was
The winds carry the haunting call of past and present
The heart beats the memory, the lament
The soul knows it is the dark and the light
The morning and the noonday gone to the journey of night
The journey of night ever in pursuit of the awakening dawn
To this our life and love belong.

Passions Mine

Seduction and passion's plea
Longing and rapture in reverie
Fervor, spirit's luminous flame
Ablaze the soul calls its claim
Rueful reflection sounds its cry
Muse be summoned to answer why
Enfold yourself in the spark of creation
Now and eternal is all revelation
Brush stroke of color upon surfaces vast
Sculpture set by the artist to cast
Carving of stone with the hand divine
Drawing holding grace in shadow and line
The sounding heart and reaching hand
Music, music, echoes of God's command
Flaming heart of love and boundless fire
Know I of grace and incessant desire
Art, music, words in prose, words in rhyme
Playful musings of these passions mine.
