A Choral Stillness

a choral stillness in this morning hour new
the sounding of chimes be this wind's sweet melody
heard are the flutter of wings and the song bird call
at my window garden leaves and bloom in brilliant array
the petals and bud of clematis flower this day
the quiver outside my window I do feel
the crocus and daffodil a peeking green to reveal
this day of Winter with hints of Spring to come
this glory of light, the gift of bloom, the warming sun.

A dear blogging friend expressed her response to this post, both words and image, as bringing forth the feeling of "Gloria in excelsis deo..." here as: et in terra pax by J.S. Bach BWV 232 (from Mass in B minor) ...And so here shared for your added enjoyment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppKYRR8sZWg ... Thank You Theanne.

There Is

there is a PRESENCE within that knows

there is a FAITH within that believes
there is a JOY within that loves
there is a SPIRIT within that soars
what be this
what be this knowing
this believing
this loving
this soaring
it is each breath of LIFE
beyond fear and doubt
it is each breath of LIFE
pulsing with grace and gratitude
it is each breath of LIFE
embracing the very miracle of SELF
it is
the pond in stillness
the stream that bubbles
the river that flows
the ocean that roars
the constant ebb and flow
the sun that rises
the sun that sets
the waxing and waning of the moon
the stars that sparkle
the vistas far
the trees, the brush, the vines
the seeds, the flowers, the bloom
all living creatures of land, sea and sky
the bounty, the harvest
the LIGHT known
it is ALL that gives
it is ALL that receives
it is LIFE breathing its myriad of breaths
it is the I AM
it is the I AM.

Let Us Proclaim...

Such beauty and truth in a child born anew
An innocent carrier of endowment and blessings true
Let all within Life's quest be ever in freedom known
With love, compassion, grace and TRUTH be our guidance shown.

Allegory of the Five Senses, oil on canvas, 1668, Glasgow, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Gérard de Lairesse, 1640–1711.

Last night my son presented me with the recording of, "The Voice of Knowledge," by Don Miguel Ruiz, the author of "The Four Agreements. " It is indeed a most validating perspective. We are the God Spirit, perfect in our innocence, shadowed only by the lies within the stories created by others in denial of our own blessings and endowments. And so these very words shared this day.

At one time the word 'art' referred to 'being.' As it may have been asked, "Who art thou?" (archaic 2nd person singular present of be). I see each life as a palette of possibilities, of potentialities, of passion, of power, to be held in awe, in reverence, in celebration, in fulfillment. The artist holds true to these expressions, and so brings these ever present quests to each artful encounter, be it painting, poetry, sculpture, architecture, literature, dance, drama, theater... staging, exhibiting, sharing, purpose fulfilled. With each experience, each perception, our senses engaged, our feeling and knowing defined, our spirit touched. And so, "Let Us Proclaim," holding true to each bestowed gift of the Creator.

Is It

Is it brush in hand and thought in heart
From which this painting has its start
Where comes this call I hear as mine
Word, color and form these gifts of time
Is it the Muse that summons the soul
Beauty be the quest, beauty be the goal
And when in completion a work is to be
Is it the Muse I hear in joyful reverie
Is it Truth that anoints each new day
With the knowing path of the spirit's way
Ever present this reach to do and create
Welcome I Truth, the Muse, Destiny and Fate
God be known in what I receive and give
This be the decree for each moment I live
Is it when faith and knowing jointly resound
That God and the Muse so freely are found
So be it brush or pen in heart, mind or hand
It is to be in the Creator's fullest command.

Playful Musings

Seduction and passion's plea
Longing and rapture in reverie
Fervor, spirit's luminous flame
Ablaze the soul calls its claim
Rueful reflection sounds its cry
Muse be summoned to answer why
Enfold yourself in the spark of creation
Now and eternal is all revelation
Brush stroke of color upon surfaces vast
Sculpture set by the artist to cast
Carving of stone with the hand divine
Drawing holding grace in shadow and line
The sounding heart and reaching hand
Music, music, echoes of God's command
Flaming heart of love and boundless fire
Know I of grace and incessant desire
Art, music, words in prose, words in rhyme
Playful musings of these passions mine.

Happy Valentine's Day

Much love,

Rose Marie

A Couple

A Couple

a love that was and is no more
yet within be a heart with love evermore
to another my love I may give
for shared moments we to live
for whatever a tomorrow may bring
this heart now to BE and to sing
know who I am in spirit's domain
and known shall each be by name.

Whitney Houston - Greatest Love Of All [Lyrics]

In Gratitude

When I first heard Whitney Houston sing, "The Greatest Love," it was at the time I was ravaged by the clutches of cancer. The words validated for me what was silently within my very soul. With deep faith and conviction, I chose to fully live the words, and since 1983 have been cancer free and have not wavered from the message that allowed me to once again soar with the fullness of life. And so my life's work continues to unfold... Thank You Whitney Houston - Greatest Love Of All ...

The Fire and the Rose Are One

"And all shall be well and.. All manner of thing shall be well.. When the tongues of flame are in-folded.. Into the crowned knot of fire.. And the fire and the rose are one.” T.S. Eliot

I the Fire, I the Rose

the fire, the petals, the passions of creation
the light of the PRESENCE
brilliant be the towering flames
horrifying be its consuming fury
the rose, the gentle warmth of the glowing fire
the rose, the wrath of its piercing thorn
know I each as one and one as each
I the rose, I the fire
the passion, the pain, the PRAISE.

...unto thee

so small so delicate be a flower seed
within lies the mystery of life's creed
the earth, a haven it does give
water and sun within shall live
green leaves in abundance they be
beauty and creation flower unto thee.

Fracking No More...This be but one drop...

This be but one drop... this essence of ALL ...

Waters

waters of this earth
a Libation sweet
honored they shall ever be
the streams, the rivers, the oceans, the seas
the fields that yield by its grace
to all life its flow we trace
hold to the purity that Creation gives
contaminate not by false truths we live
contaminate not by false truths we live.

This post was prompted by a loss of life resulting from the ill effects of fracking. The ill fate of properties from fracking is more than overwhelmingly devastating... This MUST BE STOPPED!! Hydraulic fracturing is the propagation of fractures in a rock layer caused by the presence of a pressurized fluid.

Reverie

reverie, I within its grasp
and present becomes moments of moons gone
reverie, I within its grasp
and present becomes the lover once known
reverie, I within its grasp
and present becomes the pain once lived
reverie, I within its grasp
and present becomes the vision yet held
reverie, I within its grasp
and present becomes the light anew
the light anew
anew.

What Be

what be my thinking this day

what perceptions will mark the way
what memories shall I behold
what story shall there be told
will this day be its glory new
will it be shadowed by doubts held true
dispel the veils of doubt and fear
dispel illusions of loss, pain and tear
know that all in its own destined way
brings meaning and purpose to our day
beyond all hurt, betrayal and demise
is the seeking and the word of the wise
the waxing and waning to prevail
the splendor of light shall ever we hail
know with faith and an abiding grace
that within our heart destiny has its place
it shall be ours ever to have and to hold
this THE WORD be it with love ever told.

...the silence...

the silence now beckons
called I am to the quietude of the night
where beauty reigns supreme
where indigo crowns the crescent moon
where stars on high glimmer
the silence now beckons
called I am to the temple of my soul
where faith reigns supreme
where light minsters to my heart
where spirit soars in PRAISE.
