Secret Tree

Secret tree, a cloak of nature's wile

Blanketing the light you hold
What secret do you harbor in hues of green
Reflections upon still waters seen
Dipping deep at water's edge
I step beneath your bough
Your secret kept shall be my vow
I listen to what you have heard
And hear I the whispers of THE WORD.

  1. I love the idea of the secret being The WORD. This is brilliant.

  2. The tree and even the path look very intriging. The adventure side of me comes out, when I see that path. What can be found?

  4. Well, I am definitely a fan of trees, and your poem is wonderful! I often wish I could see through their "eyes", at all they've witnessed and survived through their long years!
