White Orchid

A gift of bloom for Mother's Day
And with loving care white orchid's array
Petals like angel wings alight
Delicate in their regal splendor white
Such sentient majesty this grace of bloom
The light of stars and a cresting moon
Unfurl be your budding center divine
In florid embrace wings within sublime.

Good morning Rose-Marie,

This past Mother's Day I gave my Mom a white orchid corsage - I told her she should have such every day. She will be 86 come November.

You poem in many ways describes her - she is al love, an array of loving care. Her wings or arms are light and pure. And her grace of bloom, oh her grace of aged wisdom is so life-giving. And her budding center is ALL Love, faith and more love.

Your poem I found to be a tribute to my Mom and I "thank you"

Love to you
Gail

Karen, and may we each take flight!

Gail, Your words are a loving tribute to the glory shared between a mother and a daughter. Thank You. If you would like for me to send a PDF file of the poem and image, suitable for you to print out, I would be pleased to do so. You can e-mail me at rmr8@verizon.net with your e-mail address and I will send it on. A HUG for MOM is enclosed!

Blessings,
Rose Marie

Truly lovely, your poem!
And the beauty of the white orchid is breathtaking!
White orchids are one of my favorite flowers!
I carried them on my wedding day, a long time ago but reading your beautiful poem & seeing the white orchid brings back wonderful memories of that day.
Thank you, Rose Marie, I so enjoyed this post.

Beautiful poetry as always. Orchids are the most regal flower and do have a grace about them that no other flower has. On my wedding, my table was adorn with the elegance and grace of the lovely orchid.

Thank you for stopping by and always with a kind word, encouragement and a shared chuckle. It's such a joy every time you stopped by. Your visit is...kind of like having afternoon tea at the Ritz, only better.

Margie, Orchids do have that special bond with memory. My first orchid received for my 8th grade prom is still fresh in my heart's memory.

Choices, Weddings and orchids seem to call upon each other, each its own beauty in celebration.

Rain, Your new blog is itself a fresh flower. My pleasure...

Rainbow, Tea-time , truly terrific, terribly tempting, totally tasteful! Thank you tenderly...
