We are the WEAVERS ~ Threads of Time

We are the WEAVERS
Threads of Time

we gave a cry and all rejoiced for this our birth complete
we are our first steps greeted with open arms
our first word that brought an admiring smile.

trace the years and their memories await anew
a montage, a kaleidoscope, of one's life view
sounds, impressions, of place time and moments sweet
where our dreams and our days come to meet
praise, punishment, joy and pain come to define
a life known as rightly yours, a life lived as mine
and what brings reason to pause this very day
but the wondrous Creation given by Life along its way
a breath, be it Life's endearing embrace
upon a time line of memories now to place
decades of moons have brought mystery and delight
magical be this waxing and waning of Creation's light
and so this heart, this soul, in time's grasp and claim
be held in the spirit and glory of our Creator's name
be it of yesterdays or days yet, our dreams enfold
each new gaze, a breath, a sigh, be this our story told
with threads of time Life's cloak we to weave
BE the warp and weft of DIVINITY and TRUTH conceived.

*Note: Warp and Weft are the two basic components used in weaving to turn thread or yarn into fabric. The lengthwise or longitudinal, warp yarns are held stationary in tension on a frame or loom, while the transverse, weft yarn is drawn through, thread by thread, over and under the warp.
And so it is, the vertical, the warp, be that which is of DIVINITY... as Above, so Below, for the GOOD of the ONE. The in/out within the horizontal, the weft, be that which is of TIME and SPACE, for the JOURNEY of the SELF.

The Weavers Task

a robe, a cloak, a shawl
be it of threads golden and fair
be it of threads to hide despair
from a loom of time, warp and weft
threads torn, tattered, and frayed
woven with hands that reverently prayed
and so the threads blackened by time
took on the light of the blessed divine
the light of stars, the moon and the sun
the weavers task in glory, His will done.

Inspired by "Robe of Delusion" ~ a response

La Pia de' Tolomei, 1868-1880, Oil on canvas,
Dante Gabriel Rossetti, 1828-1882,
Spencer Museum of Art,
University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS, USA.

~

The story as presented: "
La Pia de' Tolomei
Dante Gabriel Rossetti 1868–1880
"La Pia is the last major painting completed by Rossetti. It portrays a character from the epic 14th-century poem, The Divine Comedy, Purgatory by the Italian poet Dante Alighieri (circa 1265-1321). According to the poem, a woman named La Pia married an Italian magistrate who kept her in a castle in the malaria-infested swamps of Maremma where she died under mysterious circumstances. In this painting, Rossetti captures the lonely and contemplative young woman toying with her wedding ring. In the foreground, the sundial suggests the passage of time, while old love letters from her husband underscore La Pia’s marital ties.
Rossetti’s model for painting and many others was Jane Burden Morris (1839-1914), who was married to Rossetti’s fellow artist and good friend, William Morris. Rossetti had a passionate affair with Jane and hoped in vain that she would leave her husband. The subject of a wife imprisoned by her husband carried great personal meaning for Rossetti."

BE It Woven

Color and hue of many a textured thought
Nubs and frails that the day has brought
Silken threads of sweet spirit sublime
With strength of heart in each threaded line

And what is this that you perceive
To bring to this cloth you do weave
The warp and weft of faith be chosen
The cloth of benevolence be it woven.

Cloak of Dawn... Threads of Time...

Threads of time, experiences, thoughts, visions, within the moment,
within each season of change... ever the Cloak of Dawn...

we gave a cry and all rejoiced for this our birth complete
we are our first
 steps greeted with open arms
our first word that brought an admiring smile...

trace the years and their memories await anew
a montage, a kaleidoscope, of one's life view

be it of yesterdays or days yet, and dreams enfold
each new gaze, a breath, a sigh, be this our story told
with threads of time cloak of dawn we weave
be it the warp and weft of Divinity conceived.

Albrecht Dürer, German,  21 May 1471 – 6 April 1528, Self-portrait silverpoint drawing by the thirteen-year-old Dürer, 1484, Albertina, Vienna.

"Albrecht Dürer (German: [ˈalbʁɛçt ˈdyːʁɐ]; 21 May 1471 – 6 April 1528) was a German painter,  engraver,  printmaker, mathematician, and theorist from Nuremberg. His high-quality woodcuts,  nowadays often called Meisterstiche or "master prints, " established his reputation and influence across Europe when he was still in his twenties,  and he has been conventionally regarded as the greatest artist of the Northern Renaissance ever since. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albrecht_Dürer

“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you...” (2 Timothy 1:6, NIV) ~ Fibers of Soul Aflame

Fibers of Soul Aflame

The cloak of mortal clothing shed
Bared be the illusions and fear
Tattered threads of despair and desolation
Woven on a loom of derisive deception
No, this not the warp and weft of my destined life
This not the calling of spirit that beckons to me
The Great Weaver has given threads of silver
The moon and the stars, a vision clear
The Great Weaver has given threads of gold
The Sun and an alchemy for life to behold
The warp now declared in light, love and truth
The weft the ever present unfolding of gifts divine
The cloak of mortal clothing shed
Fibers of soul aflame
The Great Weaver heeds your destined claim
Your destined
Your destined
Claim.
