The Call of a Summer Day... Passions Real...

Language provides an echo - it is not the original - words are representations, symbols, utterances, that the inner spirit longs to be known - to self - to others and to the ultimate SELF. As a poet, language echoes my heart's lament, my soul's joy and my spirit's quest to soar, echoes holding to praise and gratitude, a sounding sense of purpose... passions real.

The Call of a Summer Day... Passions Real...
Passion
the pulsing
adventure
of soul of spirit
inspired by
omnipresent need
Passion
the very flame
that lights
the creative longing
the quest for purpose
the reach for knowing
Passion
the wakeful night
that looks to the stars
the moon
the rising sun
the promise of the new day
Passion
the touch of the sublime
the silent yearning
the one known
the beauty perceived
the moment present
Passion
the frivolity of the flower
colors in radiant supernal array
the call to the light of the sun
the roots that reach to the depths
the bloom that prevails
Passion
what I dream
what I vision
what I feel as ME
what I know as SELF
what it is to BE.

... this day of THOR

How sweet be the awakening
to the song of song birds
on branches with budding leaves anew
the brilliant blooms of the dogwood tree
outside my window
a lambent sky
dressed with the light of the morning sun
this day of THOR
and angels of grace
as too, by Jupiter, I rejoice.

governed by the planet Jupiter
a call to philosophic endeavors
holding to blessings
balancing, exploration
freedom from constraint
And there it is ... Thursday, and I, in a Jupiter mood.

VISITATION

such be a portrait of supernal grace
behold I in soul's place
birds in triune in a visitation sweet
the wondrous of spirit lovingly she to greet
behold I this moment of nurturance divine
within her heart I place mine
caressed by the warmth of God's light she be
beauty in devotional Praise onto Thee.

As I listen with the brilliant light
of the afternoon Sun
in a sky of lambent blue,
casting its light in the window
next to where I am writing this,
I am beholden to the artistry,
to the music,
to the spirit that is SPRING.

Come listen with me.

...pen in hand... love's ardent command...

...pen in hand... love's ardent command.

and here this pen in poet's hand
wherein is heart's command
a smile, a gesture, the warming sun
a creed, a mission, a task now done
'tis not what I alone to answer nor unfold
the pleas of need be too, your story told
all awakens for the vision yet held
purpose and right intention in glory meld
with word and reach and Faith in command
and here this pen in poet's hand
expressive of light and heartfelt love
be the blessings supernal of heavens above
visions of resolve and peace there be
in the bounty of love from sea to sea
a thought, a knowing, from vistas far
ever the light from a distant star
and awakened we be to the sun rising new
life in glory, in grace bestowed upon you
and I a poet with pen in hand
beholden to love's ardent command.

..simply clippings... to root anew

clippings of green
held they in blessed water
to root anew

thoughts of light
held they within heart
to root anew

quest and visions
held they by soul
to root anew.

"some are born to sweet delight ... some are born to endless night..."

born we each to be
the call to destiny
beyond the perceived despair
be the grace, be the care
with each breath we to define
the need, the touch of the divine
and so with blessed convictions true
be the fate that calls onto you.

"some are born to sweet delight ... some are born to endless night..." ~ William Blake

My eldest son, as a young teenager, introduced me to THE DOORS... yes, instantly an accord was experienced. The poetry, the rhythmic call of the music and the words sung with such depth of feelings, were magnetic.

Jim Morrison ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Morrison ) was a poet, one who sought meaning in each encounter, one who wanted to convey what we were to be aware of, responsive to, ever to appreciate cause and effect, ever to know we are the ultimate deciders for the fate of our BEING. ...listen...

hear the songbird song
hear the gentle flutter of wings in flight
hear the rustle of leaves as winds blow
hear the sway of branch and bough
hear your footsteps as they touch the ground
hear the pulsing heart
hear the presence of life itself
breath, breath, breath
can there be any greater music…

She to SELF...Wild Winds of Spirit

She to SELF...Wild Winds of Spirit
Wild winds of spirit
Passions unleashed
She soars to vistas unknown
Lucid dreams of distant galaxies
Worlds in rhythmic motion
Sounds silent, sweet, thunderous
Pulsing, pulsing, pulsing
Within her a vibrant chord
She beckons, she calls deliverance
She to SELF…she to SELF
FREE …FREE… FREE
Wild winds of spirit.

Efes Antik Kent Nike Heykeli
This relief marks the late Roman period, the 4th and 5th centuries BC. In the right hand is a palm, in the left hand is held a wreath from a bay leaf. The goddess represents speed and power; Nike has the ability to run and fly free. Nike is the embodiment of the concept of victory, the goddess of victory.
According to Hesiodos, she was born of Stylus, the daughter of Pallas and Okeanos. Nike is shown as a young girl with wings, flying feee and gliding from heaven. Nike is also one of the leading names of Athena, ammong the most depicted immortals in sculptures and paintings.

You are the artist ~ An Awareness Wise...

You are the artist, and your life is your creation. It's your story. It's your comedy or drama, and if your story is changing anyway, then why not direct the change with awareness?
You have all our love.

And so in poetic dialogue...

An Awareness Wise

what be this awakening sweet

where grace and intention meet

what be this thunderous sounding in heart

where all that is has its knowing start

what be this soaring of spirit and soul

where vision is one with heart and goal

this be the Self, the TRUTH to embrace

where all that is blessed in knowing I place

where judgment, reprisal, illusion and demise

be cast aside by Spirit, an awareness wise

beyond the drama and lies yet heard

is the beloved glory of the divine WORD

joyful gratitude to fill my days

so be the embodiment of SELF in PRAISE.
