The Call of a Summer Day... Passions Real...

Language provides an echo - it is not the original - words are representations, symbols, utterances, that the inner spirit longs to be known - to self - to others and to the ultimate SELF. As a poet, language echoes my heart's lament, my soul's joy and my spirit's quest to soar, echoes holding to praise and gratitude, a sounding sense of purpose... passions real.

The Call of a Summer Day... Passions Real...
Passion
the pulsing
adventure
of soul of spirit
inspired by
omnipresent need
Passion
the very flame
that lights
the creative longing
the quest for purpose
the reach for knowing
Passion
the wakeful night
that looks to the stars
the moon
the rising sun
the promise of the new day
Passion
the touch of the sublime
the silent yearning
the one known
the beauty perceived
the moment present
Passion
the frivolity of the flower
colors in radiant supernal array
the call to the light of the sun
the roots that reach to the depths
the bloom that prevails
Passion
what I dream
what I vision
what I feel as ME
what I know as SELF
what it is to BE.

Canes at Play..

Bamboo in graceful bow and sway
Holding the sun’s light in brilliant verdant array
Dancing shadows of supple canes I to behold
Among the lithe and lush leaves touches of gold
A late afternoon, gifts of a summer day
The wind, the robin’s song and bamboo canes at play.

Divine Rapture

...divine rapture...

hear the robins sing
petals of flowers flutter
colors held by the sun's light
sweet scent carried by a gentle wind
fragrant be the dance of light
felt is the pulsing passion
the flowing grace of breath
this the divine rapture
palette of bloom
caressed by a summer day new.
