Melodies of Mind...

Resounding be the pulsing visions
Echoes of melodies of  mind
Waves of thought and BEING held in heart
From which memories, love and longings bear their start
In tones and hues that call to the solitude of night
Be known the embrace, the melody of mind, the melody of light.

Harp Song of the Wind

winds blow gentle
leaves rustle in responsive grace
heard is the melody of the midnight hour
the harp song of the wind.

Harp Song of the Winds

hear the harp song of the winds
melody of branch and bough
'tis the vespers of a winter's night.

The night holds much fascination for me. It is a time when I feel a deep connection and communication with vistas far. Visions, movement of clouds, glimmers of light, distant stars and planets, ambient sounds are called to expression... and so my offerings of palette and word.

Listen To This Night

Listen to this night
Violet whispers
Indigo melody
And light's refrain

Listen to this night
Blue notes
Lilting tones
And light's refrain.

Quest and Vision

Sounds, gestures, in word and song
The heart to be known does ever long
What words to say, what melody to sing
What is it that wills each word I bring
'Tis this life's purpose to be heard
Quest and vision cast in many a word
Paint, color, line and form expressed
The call of the Muse with brush caressed
Understand SELF, THE WAY, I to define
The Creator's Call within this soul mine.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
