...so chimes the clock... The Midnight Hour

Midnight Hour

deep be the blue of a silken sapphire cloak
drift I into raven enfolds of this midnight hour
the waxing moon casts its brilliant light
slumber sweet slumber greets the night.

...time and... The Midnight Hour

An experience and so be the root of change in perception
A word shared and prompted is love and loss in reflection
Time and place enfold our body our mind
And so we reach for meaning valid and kind
Are we in our purpose and is satisfaction real
Or are we in pain that we choose to conceal
The hour past and present be a midnight call
By our own intention we to rise or fall
Time, place, vision, purpose, be they all told
Our story woven threads of days silver and gold
What credence do we give to time present and past
The sweep of clock hands and with pen our story cast
This moment, this very hour at hand
Be it known by devotion and a willing command
Our heart, our soul, with a knowing divine
To grace this gift of our granted time
The midnight hour be it ever embraced
A new day of light within our heart is placed.

We are ever at a mid point between the past PRESENT future... the day that was, the day that is and the day yet to arrive... we are ever in the midst of change and choice... we are the shapers of the meaning of our time... how we perceive our experience - how we plan - how accepting - how resistant... we are the breath of time... the inhalation, the exhalation, the receiving the giving... the stillness and the action, and so the midnight hour ever the offering of a day new, with all its light, all its offerings, all its potential, all its challenge...  Rose Marie Raccioppi

Harp Song of the Wind

winds blow gentle
leaves rustle in responsive grace
heard is the melody of the midnight hour
the harp song of the wind.

Midnight Hour

warm and enfolding be this summer midnight hour
fireflies a glow in the dark depths before me
the sky above of indigo, violet and gray
towering trees silhouetted in hues of black
silence gives voice to a pervading spirit
resounding be this embracing calm
a crescendo of quietude and grace
within the silent music of the night
this heart be known
this heart be known.

Midnight Hour

the midnight hour
the chilled night air
the call of distant light
the feel of the wind
embraced by the silence
by the touch of the dark
by the wondrous vista
by the depths of indigo.
