Fallen Leaves

As I step into my garden I greet
The sounding feel of leaves below my feet
A quiet presence deep within
Calmed is the daunting din
From that mighty oak tree ever strong and tall
This blanket of fallen leaves, gift of Fall
Amber, red, orange and colors of gold
Trees mark time and a story told
Leaves alight and with winds flee
Season of change this Fall's decree
Torrential rain and south winds yesternight
Harken to the rising of morning's new light
The messengers of storm now silent of sound
Leaves, twigs and branches rest upon ground
Warming sun yet chilled be the morning air
October's gift this hour, sky so blue so fair.

Rose Marie-

And the storm calms, leaving behind colorful proof that it swept through. And there is always a glorious morning after - to sort through the debris of truth about - to remember - to let go - to ponder and feel - the Autumn force gives way to a vulnerable color that only those who survived their storm could possibly know.

Love to you my creative and passionate friend
Gail

that peace that comes after the storm...leaving things changed, yet there is still the light of the sun...ahh...

Gail,

A Sisterhood of Spirit we do share
We bring forth to each a message of care
And as we both walk the darkest of night
Perceived ever is our shared light.

Much love,

Rose Marie

Brian, you share so beautifully expressed in your writings, that ever present interplay - the confront and resolve. Thank you for being here.

So beautifully expressed Rose Marie and I loved it as we are having a very wintery day here.
So missing the fall season but for today I was able to experience the gift of October through your lovely words.
Thank you!

Margie:)

Margie, Thank You - Today, the sky with lyrical patterns, soft colors, shades of clean clear blue throughout mid New York and New Jersey were magical. A one and one half hour motor trip, away from home, taken with my son early in the day and our return trip home at sunset, gifted me with the freedom to fully enjoy the sky for three magical hours. Little did I know upon awakening and writing this poem, that the morning blue sky would continue to stage itself in such splendid array.

Don't you just love the Fall with all it's colors and crispness, and yes even raking the leaves which can always be turned into a game. You expressed my own feelings so perfectly... thank you.....:-) Hugs
