The rhythmic sounding sweep of the swing
The soft crackle of fallen twigs
The golden leaves of the birch tree
This September day
The crimson tipped leaves of the dogwood
The green fragrance of the freshly cut grass
The yet warm moist air of a noon hour
This September day
A stillness, a vibrancy
Leaves beckoning array
The emergent colors
This September day
A palette of nature's splendor
A green canopy holding to sun's light
Towering oak, rooted and ever free
This September day.

"A palette of nature's splendor" indeed!
Sounds as though you are describing the Maritimes in Canada and the New England States in America.....makes me lonesome for the beautiful colors of Fall......:-) Hugs
Hi RoseMarie-
Your image and words bring the promise of Autumn into a gentle blend of color and feel. I am gently swaying with each word as I feel the wind and smell the air and see the vibrant colors. I can touch the change and taste the sweet moisture - every sense is coming together lik a song in perfect harmony "this September day".......
Love and deep appreciation for all that you are and share.
Gail
peace......
Karen, as with yourself, words to portray visions held in heart.
