Holding to the Wonder
Aware of the Omnipresent
Feeling the Marvel
Living the Aspiration
Fulfilling Need
Words to define what it is to be a woman
Come from the special meaning of who we are
With grace we receive and provide the ultimate giving
With love we nurture
With question we pursue
With pain we give birth and revel in its miracle
With persistence we provide
We are blessed to be
The receiver and giver of life.

It is wonderful to be a woman. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Hi Rose Marie-
Woman to woman? We have a unique ability to empower one another - I have seen the miracles when women empower one anothe and I have seen the devastation when they don't. We impact each other uniquely and profoundly - as mothers and daughters, sisters, friends, lovers, co-workers,
and your poem describes what only a woman could possibly know. Beautiful Rose Marie, stunningly beautiful.
Love Gail
peace.....
Ashley, Celebrate it each day!
Gail, I so agree with you, we can do so very much for ourselves and for one another. The blogging friendship we share is testimony to your words. Thank you for all you do, who you are, and what your visions yet hold.
All I can think to say is "Amen."
Must be Feminist's Day or summat - but at least yours is not anti-man! (Only kidding!)
Karen, And PRAISE be the CREATOR!
Dave, No, it is far from being "anti-man" - it is the antithesis - it is in celebration of our creative endowment - the receiving for the giving - the giving for the receiving.
Wonderful words Rose Marie! A good reminder. When I think of being a woman, I think of the word "pretty". :-)
Dear Rain, OK I am accepting, we are "pretty" near absolute perfection - so near that that is what we truly are! We need only be reminded to know OUR TRUTH!
Well said--& nicely handled with the acrostic letters.
John, Thank You for the acknowledgment of the acrostic element. You are deeply appreciated - thanks for the visit!
Thank you for sharing this lovely poem, Rose Marie!
It made me feel proud & very graeful to be a woman!
Margie:)
Margie, And so very well you are to BE!! Thank you for taking pride in your womanhood!
Rosie, this is so lovely, on being a woman. I am really only stepping into those shoes now.... even at this age. It doesn't matter how old you are.... I am learning. If you don't feel the honor which you just described... you stay stuck in girlhood. Rosie, thanks once again. xxoo
