Midnight Hour

the midnight hour
the chilled night air
the call of distant light
the feel of the wind
embraced by the silence
by the touch of the dark
by the wondrous vista
by the depths of indigo.

I love the desert at night...in Tucson,Arizona street lights had to be used that forced the light down...so that Kitt Peak National Observatory could scan the night skies!

A dear friend with a loving spirit, upon receipt of the words and image of, "Midnight Hour," as presented here, was indeed inspired by such reflective expression. Other times, other such expressions of this special hour of the day were brought to bear upon her memory and so, this link provided... for my enjoyment and now for yours as well my dear blogger friends...
