warming be the sun, lambent be the sky
the yesternight of rains held by roots anew
a lushness of winter green blankets the ground
the grass wet and cool below my feet
the feel of Spring deep in Winter's embrace
blessed be the splendor of this day
feel I the alluring quiver of this green array.

Gail, You most certainly have an engaging writing style. I am ever so pleased to hear of your book plans. The passages I read today calls for more...more... ;-)
poemed by a lady who has felt the cold of winter...only fleeting cold here...so spring perhaps will not be as delicious!
Theanne, It has been quite cold, snow, winds and ice. Last night the rains were torrential, followed this morning by a magnificent clearing and for a short while Spring like temperature, then the winds picked up and now it is quite cold again. That morning interlude was so so so refreshing. I did feel the momentary beckoning of Spring and the delightful quiver of green. All was indeed captivating.
The image was in expression of the budding creation that lies deep in the womb of Mother Earth... the roots, the bulbs, the seedlings, that lie in wait of their time to burst into bloom anew. This the greeting of the early morning hours.
your words of interest mean so much as I admire you writing talent SO much
