Lovingly Present

"Do not grow old, no matter how long you live. Never cease to stand like curious children before the Great Mystery into which we were born."
~Albert Einstein

Lovingly Present
Memories within her fibers deep
There rests her inner child asleep
A young girl of imagination now grown
Yet in remembrance of all ever known
She is spirit free of confine
Reminding me of liberation mine
Ever embracing, discovering, initiating a knowing wise
Understanding those who may beckon demise
And so in joyful encounter she chooses to be
And awakened remains lovingly present within me.

Aria

Aria of Aries birth she be
An inner child deemed destiny
A song, a flame, playful desire
She ever the spark, the heartfelt fire
A crown she braids of daisies white
Holding within its golden light
And if a moment veiled in despair
Calls she to God's knowing care
In faith and love she beckons to me
Whispers of a song, this soul free.

Child Braiding A Crown, Oil on canvas, 1874, William-Adolphe Bouguereau, 1825-1905.

"The soul is revealed when you feel centered; your mind is clear; you have the sensation that time has stopped; you suddenly feel free of boundaries; you are keenly self-aware; you feel merged with another person, either in love or silent communication; you feel untouched by aging and change; you feel blissful and ecstatic; you have an intuitive flash that turns out to be true; you somehow know what is going to happen; you sense the truth; you feel supremely loved or absolutely safe."
