The lightly simple
The dramatic
The etherial
A triune of offering
A reflective journey in sound heard
Hold I its silence and its calling word
A river of memories in a cascading flow
The naming in defined measure
A pulsing, the breath is felt
The heart in resounding accord
Rhythmic in its echoes of BEING
A frivolity, this dance of liberation's quest and quail
It becomes and IS
The melding, the welding of structure in sounding form
Ascending spirit in waves
Welcomed be the light in its moment of revelation
Feel I the depth and the touch of sweet notes
Reverie and the moment gently unveiled
The pause, the silence, the ALL, the ONE
Heart's chambers speak the knowing
The Music The Music.

The song... the music... and poetic dialogue...

Performance of September 3, 2014
Union Arts Center
Sparkill, New York

Marc Farre... song and poetic dialogue

hear this sounding proclamation of BEING
here I AM
night prayers, the loss, the memories
the dream awake... accord, accord, accord
the search prevails
within the melody of heart
one of these days
again it be known
the dark night
the small town
ever lost, ever found
sounding echo
hand and heart in love's refrain
a greeting
a farewell
all to entreat passions known
heart free, heart free, sweet George
accord, accord, accord.

Alula... the music... in poetic dialogue

hear I the flutter of wings soaring
heart strings sounding
fly free
the heartbeat of the brilliant sun
the flow flow of the river
towering trees that hold the light
orchestrated hues of the setting sun
sounding sounding be the splendor
the ALL of mind, as too, rain drops
drifting, drifting, drifting
time beckons, the moon is rising
we are, we are, the calling
voices of heart in gentle refrain
the light enfolds its own magic
dream, sweet light dream
on our way
on our way
sweet, sweet journey
sweet, sweet journey.

Poetic Interludes...

Stillness in Motion

Celebratory be each particle, each wave in breath divine
Pulsing be the breath that holds to this rhythm of time
Line, form, structure, upon surface be they now known
Stillness in Motion within light upon heart be shown.

Dancing Leaves...

Branch and bough
Each budding leaf in the wake of season's vow
Its dance with the wind, its glory in the sun
Its whispering grace, life, beauty, being as ONE
Each leaf to dance and sing its WORD
In blessed silence an aria be heard.

... and I at the bench...

... and I at the bench...

I at the bench
Touched by The Sounding Light
Colors before me in choral splendor
Brilliant, lyrical, motion in stillness sublime

Heard is the music
Felt is the dance
The beckoning Muse in surrender sweet.

The Artist's Statement Poetically Presented

Is it

Is it brush in hand and thought in heart
From which this painting has its start
Where comes this call I hear as mine
Word, color and form these gifts of time
Is it the Muse that summons the soul
Beauty be the quest, beauty be the goal
And when in completion a work is to be
Is it the Muse I hear in joyful reverie
Is it Truth that anoints each new day
With the knowing path of the spirit's way
Ever present this reach to do and create
Welcome I Truth, the Muse, Destiny and Fate
God be known in what I receive and give
This be the decree for each moment I live
Is it when faith and knowing jointly resound
That God and the Muse so freely are found
So be it brush or pen in heart, mind or hand
It is to be in the Creator's fullest command.

In Dedication to Margarita Rovenskaya

A Sunday afternoon at the Quincy Hall of the Union Arts Center,  Sparkill, New York, as the sun begins its setting sojourn, golden leaves, of the tree seen from the windows above,  hold to the light and the splendor of the sounding piano played by Margarita Rovenskaya. I listened, the light, the sound, became ONE, as joy made itself known...

Light and Sound

Golden hues in a lambent sky
Golden leaves of the towering tree
The winds and the lilting grace of the piano sounding
Such be this alchemic joy
Feel I the splendor of the dance of light and sound
This passion within each key played
Delicate and bold a lyrical majesty
Be this the heart and hand in Spirit's calling command
The breath, the pause in surrender sublime
Such be these treasures of heart
In Sunday's music embrace
Time bears its gift divine.
