National Poetry Month, April 2022 comes to a close... WORDS words...

And what does a Poet Laureate do when the celebration of National Poetry Month, April 2022 comes to a close... she takes to pen and paper and holds to what she knows...

the sweetness of a Spring rain
the gentleness of a new bloom
the quiver of grass growing anew
the cooling touch of the morning dew
the songbird song that greets the rising sun
the lithe bamboo swaying to the south wind
the lambent blue of the skies above
the blessings of grace and abiding love
the prayers of PEACE within our heart
From which we shall ne'er depart
the scamper of squirrels in trees mighty tall
the feeling that the grace of GOD blesses us all.
