Simply Soup

In a pot with water deep
(don't worry deep is not a problem here)

Put the lima beans to seep

(they love to soak and swim)

Tomatoes, onion and garlic be

(believe me they are willing team members)

Along with oregano and celery

(they consider soup a great hangout)

Cook ever so slowly and often stir

(hey, they don't want to get stuck either)

Cook to the softness you prefer

(ah, you know how good soft can feel)

A bit of rice if you choose

(and why not)

With or without you cannot loose

(you are a winner either way)

For all the goodness you combine

(can't beat togetherness)

Will make your soup utterly divine.

(what more can you ask for!)

Enjoy!

A delightful departure from your usual pieces Rose Marie! I made a soup that looks exactly like that last week - except I put in a bit of orzo instead of rice and used white kidney beans.
We are in 'sync' with our soups!!

Hi-

I am very fussy about soup - I need to know for sure what is in it before I will take a spoonful. :-) I find your soup very inviting - I like everything that is in it AND I love what each 'member' is doing - the blend s perfect. I can smell it from here. mmmmm

Love to you
Gail

Rose Marie,
Yummy the soup looks and sounds soo good. I will have to try it. I like how you wrote the receipe in a poetic form. Brought a smile to my face.
Take care.
