With Paint and Brush

The essence, the sense, the impression

The gratitude, the celebration, the expression
A word, a gesture, a knowing glance
A readiness, a preparation, a positioned stance
To listen, to see, to feel, to be the need
And with paint and brush echo a creed
Cast upon the paper pristine and white
The sounds, the touch, the blessed delight.

Late Summer Sun

The warmth of the late Summer sun I yet feel
Whispers of the changing season this day to reveal
Vibrant strokes of yellow upon birch tree leaves
Taken alight by this day's caressing breeze
A calm resolve, Summer's bloom hushed in fulfillment array
Trees, brush, fields of green, readied for the Fall parlay.

Bubbles

Such wonder above me
Breath, pipe and soap, magical be
Bubbles with sparkling rainbow light
Rising, rising, take they to flight
A moment by and poof bubble no more
Fret not, another breath will bring a score.

Heavenly Foray

Radiant, ablaze be the heavenly foray
Spectrum of stars in luminous array
A palette of color, the Creator's Art
From which beauty and grace have their start
Constant and changing be each fervent star
The Presence of Creation known from afar.

In the Fold of the Muse Divine

The whispers are ever to be heard
in a wind song a voiceless word
In the fold of the muse divine
beyond all space and time
This eternal call of spirit's reach
upon your soul to bequeath
The giving over is the receiving
and real becomes the believing
Known be truth and splendor
to destiny's purpose surrender.

Ravage Not

Ravage not the land nor sea
Heed the echoed cry and plea
Heard in the crashing wave and thunderous sky
In valleys, plains and mountains high
Hold this Earth in reverent care
Protect our gifts of water and air
Take not in abuse a mineral or gem
Behold the wonder of each bloom, leaf and stem
Trees to flourish, 'tis bounty's call
The knowing grace of Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall
Earth, animals, a you, a me
Nurture wise and abundance be.
