Poem in Your Pocket Day - April 26, 2012

Wisdom of All

Oh how the mind conceives the thought
With restlessness your heart is wrought
For there is a just and kingly goal
Distant yet touching your crying soul
Be burdened not by task and deed
Lest you be lost to the greater creed
Inspired by self and the knowing within
Shall you pass the haunt, the doom of the din
Listen dear child to thy self sovereign and wise
Heed not to temptation, deception and lies
For it is the tear of joy that you shall weep
When the Promise you vow, you do keep
And when you reach and court the dream
With God's love stand thou supreme
Deception takes not your abiding soul
You have reached a kingly goal
As many may doubt and may berate
You shall prevail for love is thy fate
Guide the children, know their call
With God's tender love and wisdom of all.

For those who may be interested in my work with all learners across the age span, I have provided a link at the close of the posted poem. The second posted link, is to a "Commentary" that you may find of particular interest. Our children deserve all the understanding and support we can provide. Yes, we adults are to be guided as well. As a student of life, each child brought before me is another opportunity to learn, to guide and to be guided. To educate is to bring forward. May a shared vision bring us to the APOGEE of our potential, our understanding and our knowing support of all children.

Poetry in Celebration ... National Poetry Month

Who

Who heeds the words of this poet
Who listens to these echoes of heart
Who feels the yearnings and the fire
Who sees the vision held clear

Is it the wind that whispers its own song
Is it the sun that warms and nourishes
Is it the moon that sheds its light
Is it the star that guides our way
Is it the stranger who extends a hand
Is it the child who gives a knowing smile
Is it the soul in its moment of call
Is it God in all present grace

Who heeds the words of this poet
Who listens to these echoes of heart
Who feels the yearnings and the fire
Who sees the vision held clear.

Socrates... beheld be the poet...

“I decided that it was not wisdom that enabled poets to write their poetry, but a kind of instinct or inspiration, such as you find in seers and prophets who deliver all their sublime messages without knowing in the least what they mean.” ...Socrates

This Poet's Pen

This poet's pen with plea in heart
From which words have their start
A tree, a blossom, a water's flow
These the gifts of grace the poet does know
The music, the wind, a songbird heard
The poet so touched and offers a word
The spirits of song, of dance, of music, of art
From the poet's pen ne'er shall they depart
The muse of all to entreat her pleasure
Words of musing, this poet's treasure.

Twenty Six Letters of the English Alphabet and come they forth... w..o..r..d..s.. in Celebration of National Poetry Month... the palette of the poet...

National Poetry Month ~ April 2012
"Words are things, and a small drop of ink
falling like dew upon a thought
produces that which makes
thousands, perhaps millions, think."

Lord Byron, 1788-1824

Words, those markers of thought, sounding within us, hanker for expression. Words, those marks upon paper, our own or that of another find their meaning within us. A poem, its meter, its rhythm, its rhyme, its structure, its pulse, calls for our attentive consideration. Within the words, the line, the totality of a poem, we to find meaning, inspiration, an accord, a resolve and yes, another question.

WORDS words

words for prayer words for play
for the faith and frolic of our day
for the politician's power quest
words chosen thought to be best
words that conjure thoughts of freedom, the held ideal
words to affirm a continued and favored appeal
words of the lovers passionate and sweet
to assure affectionate embraces when they do meet
words to praise and hold gratitude true
gems and jewels when bestowed upon you
words of inspiration holding to nature's grace
to bring us to another time another place
words of faith, vision and quest
within each held life's behest
the poet's game to choose words well
to touch those chambers where heart and soul dwell.

Earth Day ~ Mother Earth ~ 2012

May our awareness, our discernment, our knowing wise, as a community of people from all parts of this Earth, bring a renewed reverence to Mother Nature and her Divine intelligence. Let us rise above the corporate greed and impeding control... of those who ravage Mother Earth by pesticides, toxins, poisons, manipulation and GMO domination. We are more in numbers, more with endowed power, more with right intention, and must appreciate WE ARE THE CHANGE that is to BE!!! WE and Mother Earth deserve no less... all with blessings and love...

Mother Earth's Pulsing Passion

Mother Earth's pulsing passion
Rhythmic
Red depths of the seas
Throbbing waves
Cresting cry
Resounding life's call
Heed well her plea
Heed well her plea.

Mother Earth ~ Ravage Not ~ Earth Day 2012

Mother Earth ~ Ravage Not

Inspired Spirit and Blessings shall prevail
There is Love beyond travail
That knowing faith within heart
From which a questing peace has its start
A vision beyond the perceived despair
So be our wondrous destiny in God's care
Light and TRUTH be they the resounding plea
Over our lands from sea to sea
Gather our thoughts and a new vision clear
Beyond all illusions beyond all fear.

Ravage not the land nor sea
Heed the echoed cry and plea
Heard in the crashing wave and thunderous sky
In valleys, plains and mountains high
Hold this Earth in reverent care
Protect our gifts of water and air
Take not in abuse a mineral or gem
Behold the wonder of each bloom, leaf and stem
Trees to flourish, 'tis bounty's call
The knowing grace of Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall
Earth, animals, a you, a me
Nurture wise and abundance be.
