Peeking Green ~ 2021

This has been a WINTER to its name here in New York and New Jersey. Today, with yet mounds of snow from the last snowstorm, hints of the SPRING to come are joyfully present. Melting snow, peeking green of blooms, brilliant clear sky, the touch of the warming sun, all within the embrace of quietude and this season's cycle of change... so BE the Glory of Creation.

Peeking Green

The days of March yet young
A bit of time for Winter's season done
Peeking green through melted snow
Winds of winter in gentle whispers yet blow
A sounding serenade through barren branches heard
And the coveted song of a nesting songbird
The crisp leaves of Fall's season yet found
With broken twigs upon this awaiting ground
Driving be the rains upon emergent buds of green
Winter giving over to Spring in this moment seen
Felt is the quiver of ground below my feet
Pulsing be Mother Earth as Spring she greets.
