St. Patrick's Day in Tappan, New York

today in Tappan, New York the call of Spring is heard
in the warming sun and chirping song bird
robins in flight and busy they be
perched on barren branches of the towering tree
scampering squirrels by two in play run
gathering, nesting, much to be done
mounds of snow be they gone in final melting away
and grass new and green be the beckoning of Spring this day
the wearing of Green be nature's ever present delight
and to all a Happy St. Patrick's Day filled with joy and light.

Green grass, that is a delight! And a Robin Red Breast to let us know that spring is on it's way! The season of green bursting forth once more!

And today dear Theanne and Gail there is a chorus of song birds - such sweet sounding calls for Spring and gentle warming.

Much love shared,
Rose Marie
