I, as a LOTUS

 

I,  as a LOTUS

earth and the gift of sweet libation 

waters that fill the soils with its elixir of grace 

beheld be the flow of streams, rivers, brooks

pools of mud blessedly receptive, receiving

the gift of water, earth, sun, and PRESENCE

from depths emergent be the rooting, the bud, the bloom

a LOTUS,  from muddy waters arising

so too, I,  from muddy waters,  from tears known 

a  bloom  of beauty, bounty and BEING.

Summer Rain

of what part of your world is this moment lived
is it of the galaxies and starlight
is it of the garden with bounty and bloom
is it of the gentle touch of a newborn's grasp
is it of the smile of a loved one near
of what part of your world is this moment lived
is it of the splendor of the rising sun
is it of the whispers of the calling wind
is it of the resounding crest of ocean waves
is it of the gentle ripple of flowing streams
of what part of your world is this moment lived
is it of the summer rain held by the lotus
is it of the lilting tune of the songbird
is it of the rolling clouds up on high
is it of the eagle in soaring flight
of what part of your world is this moment lived
it is of the sweet memories past
is it of the vision of a quest fulfilled
is it of the moment complete
is it of ALL known in silence divine
of what part of your world is this moment lived.
