alchemic be this indigo night

sweeping splendor of golden light

within the depths of slumber I BE

and known be the grandeur of alchemy.

I gave a presentation at the Orangetown Town Board this evening, a poetic tribute to commemorate National Poetry Month and Poem in Your Pocket Day. Upon entry to the night, I was captivated by indigo and the spirit of light that prevailed... and so the words ... and so the image...

Sweet Surrender

what be this calling in silence heard
the Muse beckons colors be words
deep indigo shimmering light of a star
brought I to wondrous vistas far
strokes upon a surface pristine and white
from a palette comes the indigo night
sweet surrender and I to behold
the Muse calling in color told.

I listen and so...Winter's Melody

haiku reflections

indigo night sky
winds to carry crystal light
mounting snows adrift.

chilling be these winds
sounding winter's melody
heed I the calling.
