WHO AM I

WHO AM I ...by what lens are you seen... by what impressions are you made known... by what echoes are you heard... by what light that is obscured... by what shadows that are cast...

if you see me in the shadows of others
if your vision is obscured by the perception of another
if you listen to my words and hear only the echoes of another's judgment
I am then but another's story cast in illusion
I am then but distortions made real
Unveil the masked lies... let truth be its own voice
Yes, it is a choice, it is a choice.

Ever to Fly FREE

USA FLAG DAY ~ June 14, 2021 ~ Ever to FLY FREE ~

In the United States, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened on that day in 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress.
On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress, seeking to promote national pride and unity, adopted the national flag. "Resolved: that the flag of the United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation."
As a grade school student in New York City I played the role of Betsy Ross in a school play honoring the Flag of the United States of America and the meaning of Freedom. Yes, stitch by stitch I sewed white stars on the deep blue background. When then I would look to the sky and see the brilliant light of stars, I smiled knowing we were meant to be free, to shine anew.

..simply clippings... to root anew

clippings of green
held they in blessed water
to root anew

thoughts of light
held they within heart
to root anew

quest and visions
held they by soul
to root anew.

Taking Root

Clippings taking root
as too
thought begets intention
intention begets fulfillment
may it be ever known
as the light of BEING.

Palette and Word - Rose Marie Raccioppi

A Sunday Offering ~ Palette and Word
A presentation to view anew
In response to:

"Do not copy nature. Art is an abstraction. Rather, bring your art forth by dreaming in front of her and think more of creation." ~Paul Gauguin

Petals of golden light

Be this a bloom of Light... petals call to the miracle of the SUN...

seeds ever to harvest bloom anew...

Sunflower

Petals of golden light I to perceive
This the majesty of the CREATOR to conceive
What thoughts of love and grace has HE
To bring beauty's array, this flower to be
Seeds of light the center does hold
Within, another flower yet to unfold
Gifts upon our Earth, blooms ever sublime
And touched we are by this endowment divine
THE MASTER GARDENER in loving grace does sow
A behest in celebration of the sun's light and glow.

This Poet's Word

Upon viewing anew, "Dead Poets Society."
In loving gratitude to Robin Williams.

This Poet's Word

These echoes of heart in sensibilities reveal
The TRUTH OF BEING bar conceal
Passions pulsing plea to be heard
And so be known this poet's word
Loss and lament a tear filled call
Joy and delight beyond befall
In revelation be known the depths of despair
All astride with blessed love and care
The rising sun and gone be the night
Held I in the embrace of the dawning light
The feel of the showering water sweet upon my skin
A baptism new, absolved I of all false sin
Judgments, reprisals, fallacious be their rein
For the SOUL'S PRESENCE knows not constrain
Confront and resolve the breath calls out
To purpose, to purpose, to purpose, devout.
