... and so the Lily...

A flower, an offering, Creation in its smiles, its frivolity, in its wondrous beauty, be it given, and known in... tribute, celebration, honor, solace, gratitude, and the grace of love.

As the days’s news has come to unfold
One asks what be the purpose of a flower’s story told
Be it that Nature and beauty is to ever prevail
Beyond the reported overwhelming travail
We to know that it is Creation’s blessings and grace
To be lovingly held in heart’s place.
… and so the Lily…
Sweet be this budding bloom of white
Petals delicate in the favor of light
Chastity, virtue, purity, be its calling claim
This a Lily, blessed be its given name
A bloom from a bouquet, a gift received
This the bequest of beauty conceived
And with a sweet sigh I to behold
Its allure and the ancient tales told
Unfolding be its endearing gift of grace
Such ambrosial splendor within soul I to place.
