Reflections from a Poet Laureate...

Reflections from a Poet Laureate... so too, on this day... when tasks and deeds call for attention... allow me to mention...

a memory, a vision, with words convey
the happenings of now and a yesterday
days past, days present, and days yet to BE
words, an exchange of heart to you from me.
In Celebration of
National Poetry Month
April, 2019
Begetting Treasure
the garden will be attended to and the weeds will grow
the rooms will be put in order and the clutter soon to show
the bills will be paid and more due to come
what is completed will again call to be done
but when a poem I come to write all is complete and shall ever BE
words a Birth Eternal granted unto you unto me
the garden, the rooms, the bills and too, poetic pleasure
words, words, each its own ever present begetting treasure
a poet laureate, I am in designation named
within THE MUSE entreats a word, and so its poetic claim
received I, honor in Proclamation, for words from heart to share
and to this, blessed be the knowing of the Creator's loving care.
