Winter Green

warming be the sun, lambent be the sky

the yesternight of fallen snow held by roots anew

below the white blanket that sparkles in the sun
a lushness of winter green 
the grass wet and chilled  below my feet
emergent be the gifts in Winter's embrace
blessed be the knowing of this day 

the felt quiver of nature’s green array.
