Here in New York dark skies at the noon hour
Thunderous sounding now heard
Could it be the lament of a yesterday, a yesteryear
Could it be the grief yet known for that ominous day of 9/11
Today, 12 years since the day after tragic loss, the human spirit prevails
The rains, as too tears, the heart's nourishing libation
And the light behind the storm is held in the NOW.
