Ravage not the land nor sea
Heed the echoed cry and plea
Heard in the crashing wave and thunderous sky
In valleys, plains and mountains high
Hold this Earth in reverent care
Protect our gifts of land, water and air
Take not in abuse a mineral or gem
Behold the wonder of each bloom, leaf and stem
Trees to flourish, 'tis bounty's call
The knowing grace of Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall
Earth, animals, a you, a me
Nurture wise and abundance be.

Brian, Connection to the gifts of nature is connection to the glory of life itself... this too, I want for my grandchildren and all the progeny to follow... and so my purpose and outreach... Thank you for your vision. If inclined feel free to share the poem - it is set as a theme for Earth Day and National Poetry Month, April, 2010 here in Orangetown, NY - feel free to spread the idea... Much love and faith, Rose Marie
Thank you so much. You just read my heart. I too was carrying something like this in my heart. This was weighing within..like a cloud ready to fall..! And you did it with ease and your magical pen. I Salute the Mother Earth. Salute to you as well!
Dear Tamarind, Within our hearts shared is the love of life, spirit and the blessings of Creation. Our longing, for love of SELF and all of the Creator's gifts, brings forth our words, our lament and our reaching faith. Thank you for all you choose to be. Much love, Rose Marie
