Seven Swans A-Swimming

On the 7th day of Christmas my true love sent to me

Seven swans a-swimming

The silent grace singing
Gifts of Spirit be it shown
Seven Words to be known
Prophesy, ministry and teaching
Call they to thee
Exhortation, giving, leading
Compassion ever to be
Each gift of Word and so the Way
Seven gifts of Holy Spirit
This 7th Christmas Day.

Otin, Thanks. It has been a venture learning and responding to the deeper meaning of each verse. BIG Hugs your way for 2010.

Brian, Happy for the "new smiles." Learning about the deeper meaning of such a familiar song has been a delight for sure. Much love to you and yours, 2010 - may it be fulfillment, shared love and glory!

Gail, Although I had felt that there was a deeper, symbolic meaning to, "The Twelve Days of Christmas," learning it to be a truism has been most gratifying. As with yourself dear Gail, we often know beyond our knowing. Thank you for the dearest of understanding. `♥´
