O N E

ONE

Fragments and pieces BE a mosaic divine
This the call of soul, heart and timeless time
Body, mind and spirit to call its name
As ONE life bears its fervent claim
Parts as ONE and ONE in divinity ever shall be
The blessings of ALL with grace and love upon thee.

The small stellated dodecahedron appeared ca. 1430 as a mosaic by Paolo Uccello on the floor of San Marco cathedral, Venice (Muraro 1955). It was rediscovered by Kepler (who used the term "urchin") in his work Harmonice Mundi in 1619, and again by Poinsot in 1809.
