...known to time... This Old Oak Tree

In this early noon September day sun
towering above this old oak tree
sunlight upon rustling leaves
and so the sway of shadow and light
Trunk bold and erect
giving to branches high and wide
this mighty oak of many a year
A palette of glistening and deep green
hues above me
and to the West
a sky of clear blue
All known to time and beauty
In this early noon September day sun.

  1. Dearest RoseMarie - it was October 15th, when he had his final 'way' with me when I was eleven - as I found my way home I was protected by the oak trees that lined the street, the thick trunk and reaching green branches were my salvation, that and the rocky pavement n my bare feet -
I thank you for this good memory that nature and God provided
    Love Gail

  2. Dearest Gail, How well I remember your account of what that October day brought. You are indeed in PRAISE for all you have done to process such pain and hold to loving Faith... Blessed you shall ever BE - your love is a treasure supreme.

    Ever in friendship,

    Rose Marie
